Its hard to be better after lsing a player of his caliber, they may not be MUCH worse, but I cant see better.

He has been a problem and distraction for valley since his play began. I heard last year about him quiting the team during the district tournement against pikeville and some how he was on the team and played during the regional. He was like a Dennis Rodman, did know what to expect next. Now valley can play ball without kisers distractions. I think this helps Valley as a team, if he isn't allowed to return again.

Definitely better off without him mentality wise, better team wise? PROBABLY. He just distracted the team because they all knew he did not want to be there.

They are better with him, any team would be better with a player of that calibur. As far as how they play they're better without him.

Kiser wasa top notch player in the 15th regoin, but his distration on and off the court were probably holding Valley down......they lose a ball handler and shooter but it appears Kris Bently is going to step up his game and fill the void without kiser on the floor.

It really depends on how you look at it. As a team they will grow closer without his attitude...But losing him will hurt at times when they need a clutch shot! Then again you always have Kelsey Friend...for that. So yes they are better without him!

Kiser is not a head case, he is a spoiled brat. This will be a better team without him when they quit doubting there own abilty. I wish SV the best. No team of young men needs a cancer like this bring them down . Good luck SV with the rest of the season. :D

They are a good team and contender with or without him. In the 15th anyways. That might be better with him I dunno but they dont need to worry bout that at all cause he isnt with him they just all need to step up their game.0

Losing one player doesnt effect the TEAM the TEAM is what wins game valley is still dominating every team without him...Pikeville was dominated and kiser wasnt there so it doesnt matter they still have FRIEND, BENTLEY, TACKETT, JACOB BRYANT. So they are gonna have a good season and i expect them to bring home district.

They are a much better team without him. I would like to see them play Rockcastle or Hazard now. I would go with Valley by double digits simpley because a lot less off their minds!

This is true but after I talked to some of Valley's players most of thier responses were the same
with him they had more talent
without the just dont have the attitude

I feel that Seth Kiser has an extreme amount of talent. I feel that he was a great asset to the team. I do not think that they will be going back to the Sweet 16 anytime soon, because he was one of the top leading scorers of the of the region and also he was one of the best players that Valley has seen in the past few years. Booher made one of the biggest mistakes by dismissing Kiser, and I truely think that during the regional tournament he will realize what a mistake he had made.

I have seen Seth Kiser play in several games, and I can honestly say that he is a very good basketball player (which is common sense to anyone who has watched the kid play). It would hurt any team to lose a player with his talent, but Coach Booher had to do what he believed was best for his basketball team.

I'm on the border line with this one........
But no team, by any means, needs that GREAT of a player with that bad of an attitude. Sure, he was a help to his team, but no team wants to have a reputation like they would have if he was still playing for Valley. I think Booher made the right decision even if it meant sacraficing a loss in a couple of ballgames.

Great move by Booher. Cry babies don't need to be on the court anyways. He needs to be back at home with his mommy being breast fed.

IMO valley was a much stronger team with kiser he was a top notch player in the 15th....valley is still the most talented team in the region but with seth they were untouchable...I think valley will make another trip to Rupp this season but they will find out how much of a help it would be if seth was still on the team during tournament time! But valley is still LOADED with talent!

Maybe they are better off because of the attitude as everyone has said, but I didn't see no attitude in the games I had watched this year. I didn't like how he handled the incident at Paintsville, but I was sitting pretty close to the guy that was involved and I really don't know how Kiser took it as long as he did. I don't see them being able to play better against teams like Pburg, Sheldon Clark, Johnson Central, South Floyd, East Ridge and Paintsville when healthy. These teams can put pressure defense and some of them can play physical which will hurt Valley without Kiser. However theur coach thought they would be better off without him and he knows what is best for the team.

Is there a chance that Kiser could come back if Booher allowed him? Probably a slim and none chance, but I don't know if the KHSAA would allow it.

the truth

KHSAA had nothing to do with it from what I have heard, it was the coach that made the decision. I doubt he would want him since he thinks they are better without him.

Kiser has skill he just doesn't have the attitude to go along with it.
It could go either way, just depends on how the team views him not being there. Some thought his skill made the team while others thought his attitude could break the team.

I think they are a much better team without Kiser. He became too much of a distraction for the team to concentrate on games, the Paintsville incident was the last straw. Good move on behalf of the coach, and good luck to the Valley squad for the rest of the season.
