this list is crazy, the first three are perfect but then i dont know about the rest...but you may be right ive just never seen alot of them play, but jbs needs to be #4

well they've beat hazard once, and knox county, and not too mention they only lost to mason county by 10, and mason just beat elliott by 30, and elliott is one of the best teams in the mountains and where are they?

JBS is 3 and 3 in thier last 6 and two of those wins were not top caliber, good teams but not top of thier regions. JBS is not in the top ten and should not be. This is for current rankings not Decembers record.

JBS did look good at the start of the season, i admit, but now they have just gone flat. If you watch them now, you will have seen a big change from the start till now.

well like i said i haven't seen them since december so thats what im basing my opinion on...what happened to make them drop off as bad as they did?

Tate Cox got hurt, and Stepp started to hog the ball even worse than he usually does, no team play whatsoever

no, im pretty sure thast was stepp that did that, cox was number 24 when you watched them, one of the best shooters and all around players in the region when hes healthy.

Cumberland at 10 is a joke... They would beat Cordia by 15 or more IMO! They (Cumberland) just got beat by 10 AT University Heights, lol..

yeh thats what i was asking is stepp the one that broke the assist record, because you said he was hogging the ball really bad and that why it would be funny that he broke the assist record...

The assist record is being questioned since that would mean Clark would have accounted for over 50% of all of JBS points since his seventh grade year. Since it is his uncles that turn in the stats, very few believe in his numbers.

i only follow a little bit of the 14th but ive heard a lot about it and thats exactly what ive heard....thye say its one of the shadiest regions in the state.

I would say that the 13th is alot shadier than the 14th. Especially with officiating!!!

No problem with the Top 10, but would have JBS in there somewhere. They definitely aren't playing as well as earlier in the year and they do have some shadows hanging over their heads, but they are a very good ball team when they are playing as they should.

hmmmm....Im no JBS fan, but I will agree that Clark is a great ballplayer......I just wandered this though.......since his stats seem to be so questionable. by most ...isnt there a way that JBS stats can be compared with the stats from other teams they played???? I am not sure if any teams keep stats for the team they play against, BUT if they did, this should be a way to end the controversy over the stats......say for example, if your team says he has 4 assists and they list 10 for that particular game...then you have grounds for a disagreement....now I know one team may have wrong stats BUT if say 5 or 6 teams have the same disageement, then....well......now, I dont like bashing of ANY team and especially any players...so there should be an HONEST way to end all the controversy........maybe I am being far fetched on this...I dont know.....just a suggestion

As for the rankings, I agree with the first 4 prob. I think 5-10 could be all sorts of different combinations, including about 2-3 teams that aren't on there.

well.....at the bottom of every teams schedule on the KHSAA WEBSITE....it lists the teams in the REGION as they are ranked ........I never stated that you would get the WYMTs mountain top 10 on the KHSAA site.......did I??????

The listings at the bottom of every teams schedule isnt how they are ranked in the region. They are top to bottom with the most wins first. They dont take in account schedule strength, or anything like that, just by the record.

thats not what i was getting at, he made a comment derogatory to the mountains in another thread, and some of the post indicated he was from there, and i was simply pointing out the contradiction...thats all....

Those rankings on KHSAA are listed in order of total win-loss record. Nuthin more. But ya can compare in-district and in-region results and decide for yourself.

i honestly dont know enough about cordia to make that opinion, but i know there are some good teams in the mountains, and if that many people are questioning it then i can think of a few better teams to throw in there...

everything looks good on the list to me except Cordia being in there. I dont believe they have proved themselves enough to make it to the 8th position. Cumberland really impresses me. If Cordia wants to make believers out of myself and a lot of people, and upset over Hazard would really help!

I would love to see that game. #42 for Cumberland is a phenominal player and so is their shooting guard or small forward, forgot his number but they're team just isn't good enough to win that one. They have a 2 or 3 good players from the games I seen, and I watched them in the WYMT and at the Coaches v/s Cancer Classic but thats it. It would be a real good game though. Would've loved to seen it though.

I think JBS should be on the Top 10 regardless how they been playin the past few games. They are still ones of the best teams in the mountains hands down and feared by many. They've played some real good competition and won. If you asked all the coaches who they'd have in the Top 10 they'd be in a majority of them.

Cordia is on a 7 game winning streak and has beat JBS, KCC, and Estill County on that run. They play Hazard the 19th so that will really be a test for them. Last time Hazard beat them by around 10 I think, maybe more maybe less. Also JBS has lost a few games in a row, so like it or not Cordia is your #2 team in the region.

second game of the season cordia lost to jbs 84-55 and before beating kcc by 3 points, cordia was beaten by them 73-69, and the last time they played hazard, hazard beat them by 15 points 79-64, and then you have to know the only reason it says they are 2nd in the region is because of their record, so you must then look at their schedule and there are a great deal of cup cake games on that schedule that make up that record..you did beat estill but they lost to perry central who got beat also by kcc...so im not buying the cordia ranking..

And who recieves the stats dirrectly after the game or does that stats person keep them for his on personal readings.

OMG, this game was an horrible called game, and if u were there then u would know. The fat ref really messed Cordia up. He didnt make a call until he called the walk on Cordias big man, even when Jones pushed him to the ground, after that, Cordia was down and wasnt right after that. Hazard wouldnt have beat them as bad if the calls were half way descent, but Congrats Dawgs on the win and good luck in the District.

I don't know why JBS isn't on this list, but everyones talking about how bad they are doing right now, every team has a slump period now and again. JBS had a slump last year and came out and won region so they maybe down right now but they are certainly not out. So no team that has to play them better not think they will be easy to beat.
