The 58th district tournament starts next week at AC

I don't know which games are played first or what times, but I do know who plays who.

Allen Central vs South Floyd
Prestonsburg vs Betsy Layne

I like AC & BL in the finals. I also think the finals will be surprising close, but I like AC to take the 58th. JMO

Wow we are talking about this year right. South Floyd has 2 wins all season no way will they win 1 game in the district let alone 2 in a row. It's one thing to have hope but you're not even being realistic

The KHSAA site says that AC and SF will play Tuesday, Feb 26th at 8 while PHS and BL play the next night at 6:30.

I think Allen Central will defeat Prestonsburg in the finals.

Even if they got a miracle and won their 1st game there is noway in h*** that they would win again remember they only have really 1 win this year the other was a forfit

agree totally.
but i'll take Ac over Bl in the finals because Bl is comin' off a big win in double OT against p- burg and have more momentum and this is on a neutral court so refs wont call there way. And Ac will win because they have the whole shabang a slicer, shooter, and power inside.

I picked the Giants, & even I'm going with AC in the 1st round of the district. SF over AC would be a bigger upset than the Giants over New England in the Super Bowl. It ain't go'nay happen! JMO

Good thing you don't have to have a minimum amount of wins to get in the tournament. So be lucky that you get to play at least 1 game anyway

Yeah that would have been fatal for AC like 2 years in a row and a couple other 58th teams in the past 10 years:D ..

And during those 2 years I don't think anyone was predicting Allen Central to cut down any nets.

True, but that Prestonsburg team played at around .500 ball all year that year. And I think most would agree under-achieved that year. While I see your point, South Floyd doesn't possess the athletes Pburg did that year and I don't think there is any way they can beat AC.

In 2004...P-burg was 13-17 and 2-6 in the district (dist. tourn. wins.)...SF was 18-11 and 8-1 in the district(only loss was 2 P-burg in the Distr.)...Your absolutely right SF dont have the athletes P-burg had that year...But SF does have some shooters and proved that against BL (that also beat AC earlier in the season, was without Prater, but BL didnt have everyone either, AC did get smoking hot and give BL a dose about 2 weeks ago though)...

Raiders are going to need more than some shooting to beat AC.

Yeah no kidding...Crum is gonna have to have some sort of an off-night, SF will need to be hitting, and have either Prater or one of the Crowders have a bad game along with one of the 3 in foul trouble...

I see what your saying, but IMO SF would have to have more than just Crum w/ an off night or Prater & the Crowder twins having a bad game, they would have to have some kind of small miracle, like a "sunami" on right beaver. JMO

In all fairness, I've seen times when it was the other way around and AC would have needed a miracle to beat SF.
