Ok then yes i agree that its very likely for them to get co-players of the year, if not i have to give the edge to Crum. I just think its between these 2, not sure about Hall.

Hall was the only other player I thought would be in the running.

yeah i agree that he would be 3rd, but a distant 3rd. Pretty sure it will be either Crum or Crum/Hammonds getting co-mvp.

1. Crum/Hammonds
2. Hall
3. Keathley
ill mix it up these are the 4 deserving players. I'll take Crum getting it overall.
aver. about 24 pts. and 4 or 5 3's a game.
Should be close voting.
Good Luck to all players in District Tourney play.

I'm not sure that you could have Co-MVP's from the same team. With a 4 team district it would seem 3 votes is the most you could get. I didn't think the coach can vote for a player from his own team. Of course- I could be wrong.

You have a good point...But E.Johnson(SF) and Ryan Collins(AC), was co-players of the year last year...Maybe they give the Media a vote now...Who knows?

My vote would go to Alex Hammonds at AC. Yes Crum is high point scorer, but the game is more than just scoring. In my opinion you have to look at a players whole game. Scoring, defense and leadership. So much emphasis is put on scoring and that is not what it is all about. My vote would go to Hammonds.

I think the best player in Conference games only is Hammonds. Crum was held to subpar performances @ BL and Purg with 13 & 6. Hammonds not only gets Crum his shots but is also a top scorer on that team. And if you are talking mvp, isn't that what it all about. The best shooter is Crum but Hammonds is Team AC. Also I would not count out Hall or Keathley because they have had some very good district games.

That's more reason that Crum should win because they lost those 2 games when crum didn't play well but he led his team to wins in the other 4 games. Crum has to do well for Allen Central to win but they also have to play as a team. Hammonds is a great point guard, 2nd best in the region and best in the district, but forces to many shots inside that he doesn't finish the layups and is one of the worst free throw shooters in the district espcially at crunch time. And as far as Hall or Keathley not even close.

Hammonds is what makes AC go...AC is HIS team..Crum is phenomenal shooter, but Hammonds is the leader...How good do you think Crum and his stats would look without a PG like Hammonds, who would get him the ball or bring it up the court for AC.."YOU ONLY GO AS FAR AS YOUR POINT GUARD TAKES YOU"

I agree that Hammonds is imortant, and just as important as Crum, but the MVP has to be Aaron Crum unless they get co-mvps. Besides 2 or 3 games, he has been very consistant with shooting and scoring, and everyone has a few bad games, no one is perfect. Now yes hammonds is a great point guard, but to say that u only go as far as your pg takes u, isnt always true. Is Landon Slone the point guard for Paintsville? No he isn't, but he is definitely the MVP of that team, and they will go as far as he takes them, no one can argue with that. Also, if it wasn't for Crum, the lane wouldn't be so open for Hammonds to drive and get his points, they both need the other one equally. But the overall MVP of the team and the 58th is Crum.

And yes Hall is important to Pburg, but to say Keathley has a shot at the MVP is crazy, he had ONE good game all year, but besides that has done nothing, and shoots his arm off. Case is the MVP of BL, but IMO neither of them or Hall has a true chance of the MVP, it will be either Crum or Hammonds from AC. They are on the best team, and both have good arguments. I wouldn't disagree one bit with co-mvps.

Crums average for the year in conference games is 17.1 not sure on the 3's a game though.
Hammonds average for the year in conference games is 14.3 not sure on the assists a game either.

Im not saying the PG has 2 be the MVP and so on...IM saying your point guard handles the ball 80% of the time and is more than likely your assist leader and leader on the floor...Hammonds did quite well on his own last year without Crum...He was in the top 10 in the cats pause...Who sets up the offense?...The PG...Who does the coach tell which play 2 run?...The PG...Who handles the ball, about all the time?...The PG...Your PG dont have to be your best player/mvp, but he has to run the team...The PG is an extension of the coach on the floor, aka Floor General...

I think Hall is averaging in conference 16.6.
But to me the POY is more than just a scorer. It is how much they do for their team. Crum is a great shoot, all that can be said. He is among the state leaders in 3pt field goal % and scoring. Hammonds leads his team, handles the ball, gets other players great shots, and plays good d. Hall is a team leader in points and steals, and among the state leaders in 3pt field goal % and freethow %, and is a great rebounding guard. To me any of the 3 would be a great choice for POY but I do not see how anyone can say Crum by far or without a doubt Crum, because the other 2 do as much and probably mean more to their team.

well, Wes Akers is averaging about 20+ in conf. games, but the Raiders are 1-5...It doesnt always go to a player on the 1st or 2nd seeded team...
2004- Rossi Sammons(AC) 3rd in the District(2-4 i think)
2005- Preston Simon(BL) 3rd in the District(2-4 as well, i do believe)
2006- Sean Leslie(P-burg) 3rd in the District(3-3)
2007- Ryan Collins(AC), 1st in the District, Ethan Johnson(SF), 4th in the district(1-5)
But IMO, its...
1a. Hammonds-Team Leader and what makes AC go, Not an overwhelming amount of pts, but what he does for this team is uncomparable...Assists, Steals, His Ball-Handling,etc.
1b. Crum- Great Outside Scorer, but has had 2 or 3 sub-par performances in conf. games.
I think we could see Co-POY...with it being Hammonds and Crum..
