CLASS AA FOOTBALL IS NOT WEAK !!!!

Some people in our state feel the need to give eastern ky. a black eye.

Now they are saying that Class AA football which is mostly comprised of Mountain schools is the weakest in the state. They seem to give Belfry credit for winning Back to Back Titles due to the fact that the Class as a whole was weak and not cometitive anymore. So yeah, Pburg, Russell,SV, ER, PCC, Corbin,Breathitt, etc....This is a slap in the face to us all....

Im a big supporter of eastern ky teams, but i cant say that 2A is tougher then any of the other classes. Definitely not tougher then 3A, and 4A..in the mountains 2A is tougher then 1A..but couinting the whole state 1A is a lot tougher. Beechwood could have beat any 2A team that they wanted too last season.

True, there are some tough 2A teams, Beechwood and NCC, maybe Danville could beat any 2A team this year, and proably last year too
I would have liked to seen Belfry play Beechwood last year, or Danville, it would have been entertaining

I wish our Eastern KY teams could compete with the boys from up north in Class A. I dont know if its from the fact that they possibly out work us in the off season, or if its from the players that move in their programs from the Cincinnatti area.

Russell is a 2A team that gives Ashland (A good 3A team) a fight every year. They beat us last year too.
That's not exactly weak IMO.

I don't see how in the world anyone would call 2A weak. There are a lot of very good teams in 2A. Russell, Belfry, and Prestonsburg to name a few, that could contend with a majority of the teams in the state in any class.

very true a class rank is nothing its just a class for a team to be in. The hype and adrenaline and talent a team has is nothing but natural football. so either way all classes are A ok.

match up any of our montain teams against any other team in the state and i guarantee you several things, not only will we contend but we will show more heart, respect and pride than anyone. classes arent nothing but a way to keep competition fair and balanced. if i had an army of 20 guys i wouldnt be in the biggest hurry to go to battle against an army that has a hundred guys and vice versa
