I have been a huge Lakers fan for as long as i can remember and with the addition of Gasol does this make the Lakers one of the if not the team to beat in the west....in my opinion they will be playing the Detriot Pistons once again in the Finals....

The addition of Gasol def makes the Lakers a contender in the West. But with the Spurs, Suns and Mavs still around they will have a time making the Finals.
As for the East i dont see the Pistons making it this year. I still think the Celtics will be hard to beat in the playoffs.

Well, im just gonna be honest, I think the Lakers will win it! Kobe will probably will win MVP, and the team just seems like there on a mission

They do have a good shot at it. But the MVP is going to go to Garnett. Look at what he done for the Celtics. An MVP is someone who has made the biggest difference ona team that helps them win.

Stephen A. Smith and Bill Walton said Kobe will probably be the leading candidate after the performance he had against Phoenix, but Garnett is well derserving to, but you have to think he has 2 more all stars to play with! Kobe basically had no one to bout a week or to go

I dont think any team could beat them in a 7-game series and I think the'll prbably win it all this year

OverratedHow are they overated....they are number 1 in the west...which is by far the hardest conferance and they beat a very good suns team and have won 9 out of there last 11....to me thats not being overated...
