Wes Hall- South Floyd. He's never complained about a call in the five games I have seen him play and he does a good defensive job on whoever he guards. You don't have to score alot to be effective for a team.

I dont see how Kris Bentley is underrated, he's one of the best players in the region and gets alot of recognition, even more so after Kiser was dismissed from the team.

I agree that Bentley isn't underrated. He is mentioned quite a bit but has every right to be. The kid is an excellent ball player, but he's not underrated.

I think that Ethan Johnson from SF is the most underated and I feel that Landon Slone from Paintsville is the most overated. After watching him play SF I see why he averages as many points as he does...he shoots 20 free throws a game.

I think if anybody from Valley is underrated its Patrick Tackett. Ive never seen anything but 100% effort from this guy. I was lucky enough to play football with him this year and just by playing beside him he made me step my game up.

Jamie Case is by far the most underrated player in the 15. He has the moves and skills to break down anyone he wants. I see him being big time later in his career.

As a regular reader of this site, there are no underrated players in the 15th. Too many players talents are overrated rather than underrated.
There are ALOT of players mentioned on these sites that are very average, at best, that are made into high school heroes.

Wes Hall from sf, this kid is a true sport and leaves it all on the court he can guard the teamsn best defender anddoes a great job at it he never complains about anything to the refs. and he can score when he shoots thats his only prob i think if he had a more offensive set in mind sf would be a better team

I seriously doubt Trimble will ever be one of Pikeville's leading scorers. I especially hope you didnt mean all time either. He has some talent and will recieve some playing time as a senior, but he has freshman playing over him in the same position. He hardly plays at all.

Trimble is better than everyone thinks...he is the best J.V player for pikeville i know of 3 really big games he has had over 18 points in.....he shot 6 for 7 three pointers in the J.V sheldon clark game!!!!!...he really should get more playing time!!!!!!!there also is josh martin ..he has potiential...justin seems to play better when josh is in...these to have been playing together for years ..they will lead their high school team where ever that might be next year...wait and see!!!!!!

Wes Hall and Ryan Little from South Floyd. They don't get nearly as much credit as they deserve. Wes can flat shoot the lights out (when he will shoot) and Ryan can rebound very well and score. But you never hear anyone say anything about them.

Brad Lowe is very underated. Ratliff is too. You rarely hear about a Pike Central player doing anything.

If you are talking about Chip Davis then I agree.. I played ball with him a couple weeks ago at the Y. The kid is a pretty good ball player, but he told me he never gets any PT.

I must agree Sword is VERY VERY underated after the type of games he put out in the Coca-Cola classic he was lighting it up from behind the arc this kid is an up coming star.
Robertson no chance that he is underated clevinger he will b good once he gets older he just isnt as mature as what most high school kids are he takes some bad shots but yet we all do.

Clevy underated? No chance, he plays varsity when he should'nt even dress varsity. Dont get me wrong he will be a great player in time but right now he is too weak and makes bad decisions. Robertson is definetly not underrated. He has problems with ball handling and he walks all the time. He is decent but far from under rated.

Sword is definetly underrated. He has great court vision and hustles every play. Thomas plays the Honaker boy over him which isnt right. Jacob shoots better, dribbles better, and is just an overall better player.

Chip Davis definetly deserves some playing time. He works well inside but with Thomas at the helms I dont see Chip getting any playing time soon.

He's 6'10 or 6'11 now
if he played basketball and football it would be hard to beat him

you cant say that clevenger doesn get to try because he has been dressing varisty since 7ht grade and has recieved more amounts of playing time than many sophmores and some juniors...trimble is a good player but he doesnt seem to want to play...i have heard that he wont be playing any longer after this season...davis cna play but i dont think he likes thomas lol...surprise surprise...sword gets to play a whole lot, although not as muhc as usual as of late
robertson is jsut yet to prove himself as a junior playing jv

ive watched a few jv games and boyd,robertson, and trimble deserve to get on the court more often
dirty 30 boyd and robertson might not put up tons of points because they are defensive minded

I think Trevor Compton is under-rated, not as a player, but as a passer, everybody knows what kind of a scorer/ball-handler he is, but i dont think anybody acknowledges his passing as of late this year, trevor probably hasnt scored 10 points in the last 15 games, but it seems like every time i look at the stat sheet he has at least 8 assists every game, i find that amazing in high school basketball, but i guess that's how u get 500 assists in your career, this is a true team-mate, this shows that trevor is willing to sacrifice himself and his scoring in order to win, and it has been working for the cats, without trevor's passing and leadership with the ball, the blackcats would be ina world of hurt, keep it up T.
