I'm going to go ahead and repeat my previous prediction and say an all 5th district final. JC wins this one by double digits.

The way JC is playing right now is alot different than when they played them before. More confidence and alot more drive in their game. I look for them to really make a statement for next year by getting into the finals.

Yea i'll give you the fact they got beat by 9 last time. However, since you want to bring up the past we will. They also got beat by Allen Central the last time they played them by 10 and have obviously made a pretty good turnaround by the post season. Not too mention they beat a Pike Central team by 20 points that ER lost to. So as bad as I hate bringing up the past there are the facts. But, it should every bit be thrown out the window because this is the post season and everybody steps their game up and I just think JC has stepped theirs up more than ER has.

Two great games tonight!! Will be another Mon. I'll take JC by 4.
East Ridge to me is a dark horse team in this tounrment...really didnt hear much about them during the season but just keeps on winning games....ill take ER by 7 in this one...
I believe that JC will step up and take this win

I'll say that these teams are fairly even! But I'll have to say the way they are playing that JC will squeak by ER.

east ridge brought the heat tonight....ill also take them vs jc by 8..they did beath them a couple weeks ago by a good margin:thumpsup:

After watching both play tonight I think that Johnson Central has the edge just because they have better guard play and two guys that can guard East Ridge's Rowe in Ian Welch and Conley... Central by 8.

Yes, ER has Mike Rowe - in the last game he still scored his average 11 pts against Welch and held Welch at 11 pts.
ER played great tonite - Looney had a great game - all the boys came ready to play tonite - I think they'll do great Mon too! GOOD LUCK WARRIORS!!!

Heres something for all of you to think about: East Ridge deafted Johnson Central by a score of 55-46 on Febuary 22. So now noone should be picking JC by "a landslide"

That was then, this is now. Ian Welch has been playin the best ball of his life the last 3-4 ball games. I'm not bein bias either, I'm not even a JC fan. If ER wants to win this game they better find a way to stop him or slow him way down.

i think its funny how people are predicting jc in a landslide when er has already beaten them, not to mention beat people that have killed johnson central. but sorry i forgot everytime east ridge wins its just because the other team was having an off night.

Have to say that Eric Ratliff has done a great job with the Raiders but Central has been playing alot better of late and seeing how they disposed of Allen Central, East Ridge does not have anyone that can stop Welch so I will take the Eagles by 7 and predict an all 57th district final in the regional championship March 11:beavis:

Anyways, I don't think JC's guards are any better than ER's. Williams and Fields are as good as anyone when it comes down to it, I guess their biggest disadvantage is that they are only Sophomores.
One question; is JC's #14 on the varsity a freshman? I think they call him JJ? Well, it seemed he was one of the best, and he played on the freshman team. Just asking here.

If Rowe guards Welch then who will guard the big kid under the basket? I dont think those two will be matched up....Rowe couldnt guard him out on the floor for one and nobody else from ER could guard JC's big man.

Well, whoever wins has a great shot at winning the region. Of course I'll say ER will win, but I think this game goes into OT. 63-62, Warriors on the third gamewinner of the postseason for ER.

Please don't get this thread closed before the game is even played...I'm taking ER by 3 in a VERY physical game. JC looked like they had the potential be a good team when I watched them play ER, I hope they put up a better fight on Monday.

I dont think he should tell hiself that at all. I think you and the other 43 people that picked Johnson Central to win this game should be telling their selves this... But IMO ER will win this game by around 7-9 points.

Can Rowe gaurd anybody on the perimeter? Welch has took his game beyond the post, he can shoot from outside too. I hope Rowe is pretty quick or Welch will blow right by him if he steps out there to gaurd him.

You don't know what your talking about I always defend everything. The only way we have to compare these two team is by who both of them played. For example, ER played Pike County Central and barely beat them, JC played them and beat them by close to 20. Just little things like that, plus the way they are playing and on a roll right now, and how close they played the best team in the region in the district finals. ER may hang around for awhile but that will be it. JC by 10

Ok you say ER barley beat PCC you would take that into consideration before you take in the fact that East Ridge has already beaten Johnson Central before. East ridge is the better team of the two, but the result of the game is how the Warriors open the game up and keep the turnovers to -10.

well, from what I remember from their previous game, Rowe never gaurded Welch.. he mostly kept with the big guy # 33.... Welch will be one to keep an eye on.. not saying that Rowe gaurding Welch won't be the game plan..IDK.
I believe the Warriors will Win in a close one... JC has stepped it up.. ER has as well..
IF we can control turnovers and show some good ball handling.. It's gonna be a great game !!
