I watched 3 innings. LC looked really great. They ended up winning 19 - 6 and played 9 innings.

WOW! I didn't expect that. It sounds like LC is playing mid-season form already. However, it is just a scrimmage and they are like MLB spring training games. You can never tell anything by them. Regardless I didn't expect them to score 19 runs on a team that went to applebees last season.

Both are very good teams.

i just seen where LC plays Greenup 2 more times this year and the first is on the 25th which will be their second game of the season. So we'll get to see how accurate this score actually is.

I heard that lawrence co. won, but as we all know scrimmages don't mean anything since teams play alot of players and pitch everyone. Also these two teams play each other for real early in the season, I believe. So they probably didn't want to show too much.

From what I was told about the game each pitcher for each team threw 2 innings, and they ended up playing 8 innings. so I guess if nothing else that will tell you that LC is deeper as far as pitching staff's go.

I agree they have a very good shot of making alot of noise in the 15th as well as the state level.

They have a Very Good Chance at making some noise at the state level..IMO they are the favorite to win the 15th this year...

They are a good team I agree, but they need not look too ahead. They still have to deal with Paintsville first.

I agree....they can't count their chickens before they hatch....they must take it one game at a time and worry about the post-season when the time comes. I think that Paintsville will have to worry about JC before they look to Lawrence.

If things go as they should....

1. Lawrence
2. JC/Pville
3. JC/Pville
4. Magoffin
5. Sheldon Clark

...... then Paintsville should be worrying about JC more than Lawrence. Considering JC was the ones who knocked them out in the 1st round of Districts last year.

It could be any of those 3 at the top spot come district time. Who knows what will happen in the regular season. So it could be LC having to worry about JC or visa versa with Paintsville. I think it's more wide open than people think.

I spoke with someone in Lawrence County yesterday and they mentioned that LC lost their starting right fielder due to ACL/Meniscus tear. I'm not sure how up-to-date he is with his information, but if anyone has an idea of what or who he is talking about i'm sure we'd all love to know.

Thats information is correct. Their starting right fielder was Lloyd Williams. He tore his ACL/Meniscus during practice and is having surgery soon but I'm not sure when.

Its a hit but nothing thats going to hurt our season. We have several that can step in and fill that spot. I hate that for him and wish him a speedy recovery.
