The shadow over the MLB clubhouse would be HUGE. The truth is that if you haven't been inside an MLB clubhouse or know first hand how much havoc this would cause, it would be hard to make an informed decision. But, as a fan, I'd want him in a heartbeat if I were in the AL, though his defense and injury liability would be too much for me to take him if I were an NL team. The man still had a .480 On Base Percentage last season. Also they said he had more walks issued to him than A-Rod, Puljols, and another big name that I forgot COMBINED. He's still the most feared slugger in the game.

I would just for the money that he would bring in. Another reason the White Sox should have brought Michael Jordan up because they would still be cashing in on top free agents from his upbringing! Plus as much as I despise Bonds, he can still hit the long ball and still draws walk after walk. Perfect fit for a DH in the American League!

No I wouldnt and the way things look right now, no other team wants him either. If they did, dont ya think they would have signed him already and had him in camp? He has helped destroy baseball with the steroid crap and his attitude stinks as well. I wouldnt even sign him to play on my minor league team if I had one, or even a little league team. I dont care how good his stats are for his career, he is a cheat and has tarnished himself and the league.
I would, like somebody else said though, only in the American League. I would stick him everyday if he needed it. I am just looking at it from an owners perspective. He would most definetly put fans in the seats, even if they are there to boo him, they are still there.

Which is also why he still sells out every game that he plays at!~ He draws the attention, and can still hit/walk.

Yes He Has Not Been Found Guilty Of Anything Yet And He Can Still Hit And Will Get Walked 2000000 Times A Year So Yea I Would Sign Him To A One Year Deal And Dh Him... What Could It Hurt?

I think his time as come and gone.
I think any American league team would be crazy not to want him as a DH. That's all he has ever wanted to do anyway. Just show up and hit. If he don't hit a homerun you can atleast count on him getting on base.

I will agree with ya there. I am no way shape or form a Barry Bonds fan at all, but he is a talented player and one of the best of this era.

The way i see it steroids didnt get up there and bat for him everytime. It still takes a good baseball player hit all those homeruns. Big Mac or Mark Mcguire was never accused of steriods but said he took some kind of supplements to bulid muscle if im not mistaken i am probably wrong because thats been years ago but that should of been illegal 2. But i say yes do let Bonds play.

I think the biggest reason he was walked last year was because noone wanted to see him break Hank's HR record for one, and two, none of the pitchers he faced wanted to be the one remembered for givin up the record HR.
As for me havin him on my team, NO. He has been nothin but an arrogant ******* his entire career and I can't stand players like that, IDC how good they are.

I would agree if it had only been true last year, instead of the last 5 or 6 years.

I thought you meant just last season.

I thought you meant just last season.
The stat for those 3 players specifically was just for last season, but he has been consistently outdrawing the next 2 or 3 leaders in walks behind him for the past several seasons.

I have no say, I am just a fan. But in actuality I am a Braves and Red Sox fan so no and no. He can't play a fielding position for the Braves and the Sox don't need a DH. But I do think that if I were an American League GM and needed that DH to put me in contention to make the playoffs or farther I would have already signed him. Pitchers don't like to pitch to him and when they do he usually will get on base, hit a HR, or hit a fly out deep enough to advance the runner.

I would definatly let him play on my team, but i wouldnt let the media talk to him though, it would just be a distraction to the team

I would take him only as a a DH and to sell tickets. Just what the Tampa Rays need. I can't believe they have not jumped on this opportunity. Considering he has not been picked up yet, he would probably take any offer to add on to his record.
