Pikeville vs. Virgie (Make-up game)

game tomarrow at 6

the first game, pikeville scored 13 in the first. 3 in the 2nd and 1 in the 3rd inning. no virgie runners got on base. then 8th graders came out, and 7th grade scored 2 and gave up 1. 2nd game was called due to lightning.

Actually the final of the first game was 17-1. It could've been worse, but Coach Arms called the dogs off really after they batted through the line-up once and the players were only allowed each player to advance one base after a hit. The A team stayed in long enough to bat twice then substitutions were made to let everyone else play. It's great to win, but even better to teach the players to play with sportsmanship.

As for the game today, there was a miscommunication with the folks from Virgie and they will play two games Thursday instead of today.
