Who do you think will be the next Eastern KY team to win it all or when?

IDK, Lebron Anthony moves to Jackson Riverside may have a chance. However, it would require some heart and hustle.

If Hazard keeps everyone playing together, they have a slight chance, along with Shelby Valley's slight chance, but things would have to fall into place with the draw like it did this year. Knott Central, if they can get everyone eligible from JBS has a great shot too, but I don't see them all getting eligible according to the KHSAA guidlines.

I think Hazard would have the best chance, but Elliot wouldn't be a bad choice either. SV just doesn't have the go to guy like the others have. Yea I know they have Justice but he is not where like Whitaker or Slone was. They will struggle once they get to RUPP.
Who in the world said Riverside? That is the craziest thing I have ever heard. Riverside went 9-17 last season and didn't even win a single game in the 14th region. Come on people wake up with your posts! That's not even funny!

Whitaker is not at the level Justice is. After watching them in a head to head matchup a few weeks ago, Whitaker changed his game totally when Justice was in. He didnt want to handle the ball, didnt try to drive to the goal didnt do much of anything but first pass to start the offense a step or two across the half court line. Justice played his normal game and didnt change any part of his play because of Whitaker.

I don't think you can compare a couple of weeks ago to say what Whitaker did in the state tournament. On the platform he was amazing, and he is better than Justice. I really think he is. Granted it is just my opinion on that, but he is quick, can shoot, and he makes everyone around him better. I think Hazard has a great shot depending on the draw for next year. Whitaker is a special player and so is Justice, but at this point I still think Whitaker has the edge over Justice.
AAU is a chance to work on different aspects of a players game they normally wouldn't. Maybe he was in the mind set of getting his players learning how to start the offense without him all the time. Maybe his coaches decided that was an aspect of his game that needed work. Who knows?

He played great at state. But like many people have said, in that all star game, he wanted none of Elisha, and it showed. Someone alos said Elisha isn't on the level Slone was, Elisha, 3" shorter than Landon, held Landon about 7 points lower than his average in the SV Paintsville matchup.
I really hope this site isn't starting to gang up and down Elisha like Landon was downed.

Elisha is the most fun too watch of any player I seen last year, including Landon Slone, Clark Stepp, Scotty Hopson, and Darius Miller. Just the way he plays, he is just one of those dream players that coaches wish for. Not taking anything away from other kids but Elisha just simply amazing to watch. I haven't seen the Whitaker kid from Hazard play but Justice is a very, very special player.

Well whenever Landon is averaging 25 points a game that's not too bad still. Your still looking at 18 points, and he was well in double figures for points too. I wasn't at the game, all I know is what I seen from them during the season and post season, and I am saying just from my point of view that Whitaker is a better player than Justice. That is not bashing on Elisha because I think he is a great player, but that doesn't mean I think he is the best player in Eastern Kentucky. I just think Whitaker does everything the right way, and it makes him and his teammates better.

As someone who coached Elisha for many years, I can say he is one of those special players that a coach may never have go through his program no matter how long he coaches.
It is my opinion that Elisha is the better player, but that point can be argued. However, to argue that point by saying that Whitaker makes everyone around him better, just supports the argument more that Elisha is better because that is probably his best attribute as a player. I don't know any player who wouldn't love to play on a team with Elisha because he is the consummate team player. He is all about the TEAM at all times.

I enjoy watching Elisha play. I think he is the most unselfish player I have seen in this region in a very long time. But then again, the same thing could be said about about Shelby Valleys whole team. I do think he is the best point guard in Eastern Kentucky, and I would feel comfortable putting him up against any in the state. From what I am hearing, he may be leading Shelby Valley to a state title next season.

:thatsfunn Paintsville wins it this year with the GREAT team they have.
I'm just joking, Elliott has the best chance to win it IMO, and I see them making a very strong run when that time comes.

Elliot will have the best chance to come out of EKY and make a run at state, and I agree with you Money Maker
