I think that it will be a three way race between akers from sf isaac from sf and hall from p-burg all is good enought to take over a freshmen game at any point.......

Are Prestonsburg's freshman really that good? The only ones I know of that are good are Jordan Hall, Bobby Hughes, and James Michael Lafferty. Don't know any other freshman on the team.

Taylor Clark plays point and Nathaniel Stephens plays center.

I forgot that Taylor plays. I play ball with him quite often. He can shoot the lights out and handles the ball very well.

I would say the top 3 best freshmen is (no order)
Hall - Pburg
Akers - SF
Isaac - SF
half the pburg freshmen is hold backs. no wonder it should be the WHOLE pburg freshmen team

I agree with you Raider. I think the the best from each school are:

P-burg-Jordan Hall
SF-Wes Akers
BL-Tyler Hamilton(but isn't he a holdback? I know Jordan and Wes aren't!)

You are right bcf4l. Taylors return to the hardwood has help the cats BIG. It allows them to a the 3 threat from side to side and at the top. Taylor can also drive opening Hughes and Hall for the 3. With Lafferty and Stephens post presents they are a very good team. Akers and Isaac and great shooters from Sf. Hamilton is a hold back but is a very strong post player the can at times handle the rock. The pg from BL is also pretty good. He controls the game nicely.

Hall from P-burg. I rate these kids not only for there talent on the hardwood, but as a young man as well. Hall I think has a lot of potential to be a great b-ball player and young man which in these days alot of kids cant say. Good luck Hall I will be watching. :D

Sorry Pitbull but Wes is the best freshman from what I've seen. Jordan is good though. I think if Wes would have more of an inside game like Jordan does then it would open him up more and he would be aloud to score more than he is. Same goes with Isaac from SF. If these two had a post game they would be dangerous. Colby Hayes is also helping Akers and Isaac in the scoring column.

The young men at SF are very good, but the thread said all around I think. That means inside as well as outside .

Jordan is a descent player...not the best in the district but probably about the 4th. Another good freshman that is underated is Colby Hayes from SF he has improved since last year.

Best all around freshman is Jordan Hall and Bobby Hughes both of Pburg. Both play good D, can score inside and out and both pass the ball pretty good as well. And sffann, the boy that could get wet in the creek scored 30 against David on 1/27 hitting 7-9 from 3, 4-5 from inside two point land and 1-1 from the line. He also had around 5 steals, 4 bounds and 6 assist. Sounds to me like he not only got wet but was soaked. As for Hughes he hit 4 threes and a 3 or 4 from 2 with a number of assist and rebounds. He also had 3-4 steals.

Well there "Showtyme" Jordan isn't the best all around freshman sorry...your just a p-burg fan. Jordan is descent but hes NOT good. He had one good game against David. I think Bobby Hughes is just as good if not better than Jordan....I know in an earlier thread I said Jordan was the best from p-burg but I had 4got about Hughes...this kid is really underated.

Answer, First I am a 58th fan and watch several teams in the 15th, just a fan of HS ball, Second, Bobby is as good as Jordan, That is why the have the best freshman team in the 58th. Both can hurt a team at any time any place. If not mistaken, I think Hall and Hughes has had double figure scoring in all but one game playing and starting for Fresh and JV. These kids are very good night in and out and can play with anyone in the 58th. So, Answer if you knew as much about region and district sports as you do sf team you would know it wasn't just one game, the pburg team is for real and so are their players.

I am sorry to all of you on this post but none is close, its not a SF vs Pburg freshmen thread the best all around freshmen in the 58th is Trey Whit from BL. shoots outside and backs up Brandon Kidd down low on the varsity so he does not even play freshmen or jv ball.

I have to agree with everyone else Jordan hall is one of the best freshman. But most of pburg freshman team is to!

Trey Whit is a sophmore. And Showtyme Jordan and Bobby are both good but having low opst help is a big factor for helping them get their double figures every game. I believe Wes and Justin also get double figures everynight but they dont have any low post play....if they did it would allow for them to get many more open shots.

WES AKERS is with out doubt the best in the 58th if not the 15th

Jordan Hall is a very consistant player on both sides of the ball. All of Prestonsburg's freshman are good and work well with one another. But I have to give Wes Akers major credit also he just needs to step up on 'D'.

Jordan hall is a very good 3 point shooter no doubt about that..bobby hughes can also shoot the 3 very good.now james michael lafferty plays just like his older brother that goes to Betsy layne nathan lafferty nathan taught james alot of the stuff he noes now..and i also no cause ive played ball with them before james michael can dominate the pro hop no doubt about that..and wes akers aint got nuttin on all 3 of them

South Floyd's freshman has the best 3 point shooters in the 58th. Wes Akers can outshoot most seniors and has a very high point average per game. Justin Isaac can also shoot and when he gets hot he doesn't miss. Colby Hayes can shoot the 3's and drive into the paint .Ethan Mullins can shoot the 3's also. If they can improve, in a couple of years they will be the best 3 shooting team in the 58th, maybe even the 15th. All they need is big men, Devon Adams is coming up so watch out for this team.
