Great shooter and also a great kid. Transy is an excellent college and they play pretty good basketball as well. It's tough to get alot of press in Lexington with UK being in the same city. Good luck Aaron from the other side of the Beaver creeks.

Congratulations! Glad to see him go to such a great school. Some people had said earlier in the year he wasn't good enough to play at any college, but i think getting to play at a school such as Transy should shut them up. Congrats and good luck in Lexington!

Transy went to NCAA Div III a few years back and they can no longer give "athletic" scholarships. The school's focus is on academics. They still recruit and they get around this the same way Centre does. It is just not called "athletic" scholarship. The Ivy League doesn't give athletic scholarships either but they still recruit. Congrats again Aaron. Free education at argueably the best academic school in the state. No matter what it is called, you still get to play basketball and get a free education.

Check your NCAA rules. Transy is NCAA D-III. THEY GIVE NO ATHLETIC SCHOLARSHIPS.PERIOD. Evidently he has signed to be on the team. All financial aid at Transy is scholarship-based or need-based. Now, they do work VERY HARD to put together good packages for good student athletes. Congrats to him. He must be a pretty good student to even get in there. he will have to work hard in the gym and even harder in the classroom. Transy is TOUGH and it will be a shocking major adjustment for him. Best of luck to him. It doesn't matter where the money comes from, just that he gets an opportunity to get a free education at a great school and continue playing basketball.

y would i be mad Aaron Crum is a good player. it would be stupid to get mad...and for your information i believe Wes Akers got a scholorship to Morehead State....not sure tho and i dont know if it was acedemic or athletic

Congrats to Aaron, I hope he does get some $$ for academics because as before mentioned Transy dosent offer athletic scholarships and $35,000+ is alot of money to pay just to be part of a basketball team, but hey if his family can afford it all the power to them. And if he did get an academic scholly congrats to him on that as well. I believe it will be a tough transition for Crum but he could use it as a challenge to develop his overall game get quicker, develop an offensive game that does more than shoot 3's,get stronger, and when they get him on the weights he'll loose that baby fat and he'll be able to tell a big differece in his game and should be able to develope some footspeed and learn to D up..He has alot to work on but I believe he'll do well in a couple years and get a great Education.
