Well, from what I can tell from reading on this site it looks as if Prestonsburg is having a down year. Magoffin County isn't having a great year either but it looks as if they have started to get things going. Hopefully Magoffin will be in full force and all cylinders will be clicking.

I think Mag. might barely pull it off. but idk i doubt it since i heard the score over Pike-Central and i heard that they was suppose to really suck but idk magoffin would really have to put their heads into this game and work together really hard and not let their heads down if they score on them....

Well whoever was at SC last night knows now that Prestonsburg runs the ball all game.....they tried to throw the ball 2 or 3 times and no completion.....SO if magoffin can stop pburgs running came then watch out but I dont think they can.....

Anyways Prestonsburg is down and I don't know if Magoffin has ever beat them or what anyone have some history... but I think it is a long overdue win for Magoffin to finally beat Prestonsburg... Heck they are neighboring countys!!!

Just my opinion, but I don't think Magoffin will ever beat P-burg.

I know of an Ashland team who thought the same about Magoffin County in '96 and lost in what has come to be known as the fog bowl. On that note, I'll take Magoffin in a squeaker.

Well I dont think Pburgs stadium has ever been foggy, and this one isnt going to be foggy either.....SO IDC how much Pburg is down history will keep on repeating as Pburg beat magoffin by 48 7....I know prestonsburg has struggled BUT they have played some good teams, people doesnt realize that they have one of the toughest schedules in 2A if not the toughest. So I think Pburg should go out with a 4-6 season...

P-burg showed a little slide at the beginning of the year last year and Valley insisted to invite P-burg to a nice butt whipping and P-burg ran the score up with a win of over 40 or 50. Expect the same Friday night. Adams Middle School could beat Magoffin by double digits. Sorry Hornets fans, but a win over Betsy Layne isn't impressive enough to say that you can beat P-burg.

I think if pburg gets beat by magoffin then I will move far far away from this place. IMO magoffin doesnt have a good enough feeder program to compete with the blackcats for about 10 to 20 years. At Pburg our middle school teams are directly linked to the HS team, that way the middle schoolers know exactly what is expected of them when they are freshman. And they already know the system. Football is serious in pburg, if nobody could tell. :Hammer3:

Guys guys guys!! I wasn't trying to knock Magoffin Co. at all. You all have to understand that some teams just aren't at the same level as other teams no matter how bad they are. Just look at the Breathitt Co./Shelby Valley game this past week. SV came in hot and Breathitt was still winless. Breathitt beat them by 40+. These teams just aren't on the same level as P-burg, Breathitt, Belfry, and Sheldon Clark. Sheldon Clark has always been a good team until the past couple of years but you can tell they are starting to blossom again. That's what good teams do. Magoffin just isn't one of those.

We probably will never have the program the cats have because we will never have the administration support they have. Our sideline will have one paid asst. coach. But we dont make excuses and will be there at 7:30 ready to play. I wish both teams luck and injury free game and afterwards I hope a miracle has happened and I have to be careful not to be hit by a flying pig. :bigeyed:
