Mountain Sports Coverage -- New Focus?

I noticed the headline at the top of the forums that says Mountain Sports Coverage. Is this a sign that BGR is now going to focus strictly on the mountain region?

I know the bulk of our membership seems to be from the mountains as does a lot of the information that flows. I have always heard that you can't be everything to everybody and that you should take the one thing you do best and do it the best you can. Is this what we are shooting for?

I think Mtn. Sports will be the main jist of the site, but I don't think it will be limited to just mtn sports. The main population of the site is from the mountains, but everyone is welcome to come and discuss topics whether it be east or west Ky.

Yes, this will be our focus until more interest is gained from outside of this area. However, everyone is welcome!

Well, now it says "Statewide & Mountain Sports Coverage", so I guess we are covering all bases again.

Don't take this the wrong way, but the way it reads now is redundant. If it is Statewide, then that includes the Mountains, right?

torQQue, if you could answer, what exactly is our target audience? I know the demographics show we are strongly EKY, which is why I figured we made the change to the new slogan. But now it has changed again and it confuses me.

Thanks in advance for answering and for providing us a place to learn more about sports in the EKY area.

Hi,
It's mainly a Mountain themed site but we welcome everyone. It is focused on the Mountain teams but we do not want to limit ourselves and confuse others who may want to join even if they are not from the mountains. Maybe we need to come up with a better way to say it.

Anyway, the reason it was changed back was because we did receive a few complaints and some people was asking questions as to whether they could be a member or not if they were not from the mountain area.

We are continually work on the overall theme and focus on the site and it could take a little while before everything falls into place.
