Glad to hear you will be out Thursday. I also thought the dogs look good for their first night out. I see a lot of potential for this year's team. I just hope it develops in time for the All A and post-season.

:PoliceLig well from whut i seen on monday walker, wallace,m.campbell and hicks will be caring this team this year either the rest of the team werent playin hard or the rest of the team need to learn how to play basketball...someone needs to tell that williams kid he needs to scoot in hes not a three point shooter that a fact i dont no how many cool breezes i felt that game .....kid is young but if he wants to play v-ball he needs to learn how to dribble...combs needs to shake out the butter flys because he was passing up wide open shots left an right and.......randy lewis i think i was mistaken sayin he is one of the best freshman in the mountains he is a little above horrible he is to **** big to be tryin to drive down the lane and shootin over defenders 4-5 inches taller than him wait till one is thrown to the other side of the court he no then this isnt 8th grade.................besides those problems everyone else did very well if those people fix those probs then hazard will be a great overall team until there fixed their a 4 man team...o yea hicks needs to work on his passin he averages more turnovers then assists but hes still a very good player:served:

Ok, htown, now that you have rambled on, how about we just not make any BIGTIME negative predictions until maybe a couple of weeks into the season. This was an intrasquad scrimmage, and I don't think those have every won any district, regional, or state championships.

And besides, when is the last time a team really needed more than 3 or 4 players, good players, to have a very, very good team? Put in some 'role' players around them, and you have the makings of a dominant ball club.

Just like PCC last season, they had 3 LEGIT players, and before Shepherd rejoined them, they were struggling majorly as all teams had to do was key on Daniel and that was that.

So, to everyone who isn't old enough, or mature enough, to understand that these little get-togethers for intrasquad scrimmages are just for show only, I will say it again. These things will not, and do not, win championships.

I guarantee you, by mid-season, and February, coach Spurlock will have them at the top-level best, the way a Hazard team is supposed to be.

i'm pretty sure the other players on the team know how to play the game of basketball otherwise coach spurlock would have had them cut from the team...yea williams isn't that a great shooter...that's a part of his game that he hasnt really worked on that much...but i'm pretty sure putting some time after practice and on his own he will develop a somewhat consistant shot...he is a young and inexperienced player and its going to take him time to figure out what part of his game is his strength and what his role on the team is...combs looked like he had nice night shooting...he hit the open shots...yea he may have passed up a few but he is also a young, inexperienced player and will eventually know his role on the team...randy lewis is also a young, inexperienced freshmen and is going to take time to develop into varsity material...but his potential is there...i saw some problems/mistakes from ALL of the players on the court that can be fixed...i look for hazard to be a strong team when it comes down to the stretch of the season

:PoliceLig well itsinthegame.................The inexperienced $#!t is gettin tired when you have been playing varsity ball two years and you play in summer ball games i even herd some of the players attended in a tourn at the towns city courts....if your a jr in high school and still feel your inexperienced you do not need to play v-ball stay on the jv team:redboxer:...And as for the shots im not talkin about nebodys shotin im just tellin what i saw doesnt mean you cant shot dont take it personal but its not a part of Williams or Wallaces game and from what was said all over bluegrasspreps about hazards summer ball it was a four man team:theman: and if ur team doesnt step up when ur playin teams that dont even have all their team out isnt much of a team you have huh????????:served:

Its In The Game I Have To Agree With U Hazard PlayerS Always No How To Play Ball Its In Their Blood........Wallace And Williams Might Not Be Able To Shot But I Bet Thiers Noone In The 14th That Can Stop Them From Driving The Lane An Combs A Very Good Shooter Sometimes He Passes Up Shots But He Makes Up For It Wit Big Threes Or Steals An As Far As The Rest Of The Team This Summer The So Called Four Best Players Stepped Thier Game Up For Certain Games And So Did The Rest Of The Team But Those Four Just Happen To Step It Up During "big" Game Or Games Against So Called Good Teams:****happe ..... Other Than That Everybody Played Their Best And Still Does And I Would Say By The Start Not The Finish Of The Season We Will Be A Good Team

How did the young hazard bulldog team play together this summer? I was told that Hicks and Walker play great together and always look for one another.

I wish there were a rule on here about spelling, grammar, run-on sentences, and such so we can read some people's posts.

Anyway, again, you don't need a team of 10 players to win any championships. If you have 3 or 4 good players who can play, then you are probably going to be favored to do something special. Surround those players with players who know their roles, and you definitely have a championship team.

And as for summer ball, some teams take those games way more serious than others, thinking they are games that have a meaning, record-wise. AND, when you have a team that hasn't really played much together, i.e. Hazard with graduation and young players stepping in, you are going to struggle early. In 33 games played this summer, Hazard was something like 3-10 after 13 games, then they went 20-3 the rest of the way.

Looks like they were coming together very well when summer ball ended.

Just like last season's regular season. 1-4 after 5 games, when everyone was predicting Hazard to have a very down year, then they won, what, 20 straight? Just takes time, people, for things to gel in coach Spurlock's system, and with the hard-working group he has this season, I see nothing but good happening for this bunch.

williams has only played varsity ball 1 year which was last year...and then he only got in at the end of games...but that was his fault b/c he had his opportunity at the beginning of the season but didnt step his game up...only hicks and bailey played on varsity their freshmen year williams didnt...no one is taking it personal...thats williams's problem...its just that i dont think its cool how you got on here ripping some of the players the way you did...yea truth is truth but there are just some things that you keep to yourself b/c they can destroy a player's confidence

no it isn't htown, but if you wanna be taken seriously, then you might want to learn to type words and sentences that people can understand. Otherwise, you're just a wannabe loser like RPL mentioned you were.

And if what I said was snobbish, then I guess I am.

The point of this whole matter is what this thread is all about, which is making predictions about a team based on ONE intrasquad scrimmage that didn't last but 20 minutes. You'd have to be an idiot who didn't know any better to make an assumption based on that, and that is pretty much what we are getting on here from some people.

Sorry to be so harsh, but you wanna dish it, then take it.

Can't we all just get along and be thankful that we are all Bulldog fans...No need to be harsh....let's turn our attention to their opening scrimmage this coming Tuesday which will be vs. Belfry....although Belfry's FB boys most likely won't be out and Hazard's juniors will be gone out of town on the Junior trip....It will be another night to evaluate young talent....Also of note, Hazard will take on Boyle County in their 2nd scrimmage Saturday, the 26, who is led by 6'9 Brian Staed, who is ranked a top 12 player in the state by some agencies. That will be a great scrimmage and from what I hear, the whold day will be full of good basketball there at Memorial Gym. Go DAWGS......
