I played with the players from the HAP all-star team a couple of years back. We had a pretty good team that year. This year we turned freshman's. Are team was.

Brennan Case
Tyler Hamilton
Colby Hayes
Samual Keathley
Scotty Little
Taylor Boyd
Heath Tackett

I can't really remember anyone else

we got watson ritchie and josh staggs...lol
who're both great!

dirty30
02-12-2005, 04:14 PM
haha thanks Beef but its true LMAO
But the funny part of that team was having Gravy Anderson and Nick Roberts as the head coaches...it was great

and spxdad some of those freshman were Josh Staggs Will Ward, Michael Lucas, JD MCcoy, and Watson Ritchie
this was a 13-14 year old game so there were some sophmores in there also...but 3 or 4 of those players started!!!

and go panthers...i wouldnt say they are great
they have talent but far from great
but im sure they both appreciate the compliment

Rodebaugh from P-burg is a good one, he was the #1 pitcher in the rotation last year and was just in 8th grade.

dirty30
02-13-2005, 09:26 PM
now thats impressive...

BCF4L
02-14-2005, 12:18 AM
Yeah Rodebaugh is a good one. I watched him a couple times last year and he was very impressive. Having him and Hamilton both as pitchers this year should help P-burg tramendously.

Jesus Shuttlesworth
02-14-2005, 03:23 PM
watson ritchie is that good, he will never improve if he continues to play all 3 sports. Drop basketball bud.

dirty30
02-15-2005, 10:49 PM
he definately needs to drop one sport
whether it be basketball or football

indianajones
02-19-2005, 05:30 PM
definatley basketball
i have seen him play all three. He may be good in basketball, but he is definatly better in football and baseball

dirty30
02-19-2005, 10:39 PM
what makes you say that hes better in football and baseball than basketball indianajones

indianajones
02-20-2005, 12:05 AM
I beleive that his best sport is baseball for sure.
Football next, because he sure can fake you out when he gets out in the open. He's also a hard runner for a freshman, and shows some potential for running back in the future. He is a great DB to.
If he wants to drop a sport i think that it should be basketball, but we will leave that up to him.

dirty30
02-20-2005, 12:29 AM
well i dont htink he will ever be the running back becasue he will probably be behind tim n ted honaker at that position
the reason i think he should have for dropping that is becasue the other two teams are very good while basketball is down right now
but they do have some very young talent coming up in b ball...
but its his choice really
nto ours

Jesus Shuttlesworth
02-20-2005, 04:56 PM
maybe the honakers will follow the football coach to central.

dirty30
02-20-2005, 06:12 PM
haha maybe but i doubt thats going to happen JS
he will be playing behind others for the rest of his life at pikeville

Jesus Shuttlesworth
02-22-2005, 02:46 AM
maybe some players have reached their peak and he hasn't, he just needs to think positive and work hard because he is very athletic.

dirty30
02-22-2005, 10:11 PM
you could be right
he really needs to keep a positive attitude but i think he lost most of it this basketball season

betsy layne has two very good freshmen joining the bobcats this year
Brennan Case and Tyler Hamilton the can play every position just as well as any other... I have heard through the grape vine that case will be starting in center where i have seen him play and play it well! As for hamilton he may get into the pitching rotation some but with all the returning players and him being an infielder it will be tough for him to start but still yet as good as he is you never know what can happen! 8)

watson is a nice player, but nothin special, he'll be a nice role player for pikeville sports, but not a big time athlete

dirty30
03-10-2005, 09:39 PM
Do you know him well, VW_FSU?
and do you think he has a chance at seeing any varsity time this year in baseball?
I dont think he will since he is just a freshman...htats just my opinion

I think he is refering to JD McCoy.

Yes, it was JD McCoy they were talking about when the naem McCoy was mentioned earlier...

dirty30
03-10-2005, 10:01 PM
O yea, I almost forgot about JD Vanhoose...he was a starter in Paintsville's rotation last season as an 8th grader...kid is very talented and plays on a very good Pinatsville team!

If you meant to say he isnt that good, youre wrong. Watson is a promising 3rd baseman/pitcher. He has a good arm and is steadily improving at the hot corner. Give him another year or so for his bat to come around and i believe he will impress a lot of people.

How can say he is the best freshman outfielder in the reigon when nobody has ever heard of him.

Just because hes quick and his dad pushed him doesnt make him a player. A good BATTER? I have heard of good hitters but never a good batter.

Ritchie just needs someone to work with, and with the help from Lawson and the experienced player in Walls, he should start to come around...but he has a lot of stuff to improve on...I hope he does impress people in the near future...What is he better at, pitching or 3rd?

You don't know what your talking about Carp, I've grew up with Brennan and he is a good player, without his dad helping him I don't know if he would be as good as he is today. OBVIOUSLY your not from Kentucky, Batter Hitter same thing, u don't have to be weird about things.

I doubt he will change his mind...I just dont think he is ready to compete at the varsity level...besides i didnt even know he played baseball, o wait i remember seeing him on BL team last year, he didnt even have the same jersey as the rest of the team haha
has he moved up now?

the jersey dosent make the player....for instance.....you could put watson richie in a jersey trimmed in gold and brennan case could be in rags and still play rings around him!

haha well truth is never seen brennan on a baseball field, and obviously no one on here has except for about 2 ppl from betsy layne....anyways this is getting out of hand
but you all are halarious, there is no reason to argue who is the better, we will just have to wait and see in the upcoming years, until then lets keep our arguements civilized, please.

dirty30
03-12-2005, 11:23 AM
but honestly, i know who you all are too...and i am not a cocky person or someone to brag about myself and hopefully you two arent either...but i wouldnt release anyones names on here, its against the rules...

Raider
03-12-2005, 06:39 PM
I remember when we was on our little league all-star team, Brennan was without a doubt the best center fielder in that tournament. We went to the championship game that year but lost to Paintsville I think. He was our lead-off batter and was almost always on base, wether it was a base hit or a bunt, he was almost always on base and always scored.

dirty30
03-13-2005, 05:38 PM
dont get me wrong brennan is a good player, but i just dont see him being as good at baseball as he is basketball...tahts all really
and to hear that he is starting is great and all i just dont expect him to turn them into a great team or anything...and to answer your alls question about ritchie getting a jersey last year, he actualy pinch ran and scored against BL last year...but i know that isnt anything special, and honestly ritchie hasnt done anything to prove to anyone he is good in high school yet, thats because he is not ready for the high school level...but hopefulyl with hard work and help form players and coaches he will improve, but only time will tell...maybe he wont ever be any good at baseball

dirty30

True, unless he practices a lot, and gets used to the faster pace of high school ball.

Top couple of players from 58th would be
In no order:

Scotty Little-AC
Alex Hammonds-AC
Brennan Case-BL
Tyler Hamilton-BL
Colby Hayes-SF
Josh Rodebaugh-PBurg
Samuel Keathly-BL

I don't know if Taylor Boyd from Betsy Layne is playing this year but he's good.

dirty30

Hey dirty now you are sayin that case is a good player but awhile ago u said that you hadnt even seen him on a baseball field so you need to get your story straight

dirty30
03-18-2005, 12:34 AM
I wasnt saying he is a good player, i was saying he can be a good player...and i have never seen him on a high school field, just play in babe ruth, thats all
I havent seen him play at the bigger level yet, and relaly no one has so who is to judge how big of am inpact he will make in just one season...people the fact of the matter is that it takes time for players to progress, so dont put pressure on a player their freshman year...give them time before you say they are soo great...that is all i really meant...i needed to clear things up!

I played with Ritchie, hamilton and case last year........ritvhie is the only one that impressed me any at all..........hamilton and case arent ne thing special...i mean they might be good players at betsy layne but u got to remember BL dont have much.........Dirty didnt say nething good about his self earlier, the other guy was and he was actually putting hiself down...and if i was Nothin But Net i would keep my mouth shut about tgettin on her and talkin about yourself..and for that matter u shouldnt get on here and brag on your friends unless they really are the all star u say they r.......cause case and hamilton arent as good as u and the other 2 ppl from BL are sayin they r
