Magoffin Co. is muched improved from last year. But I think the speed and quickness of Prestonsburg will be to much. Although, it is always a dog fight when you play at Magoffin Co. no matter how bad there team is. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying they are bad by any means, I just think Prestonsburg will win in a close, physical game.

Magoffin is a good team this year, however i believe that Prestonsburg will win this one. It should be close though, Magoffin ran BL to death, Prestonsburg is in very good shape and should be able to keep up with them. The game is at Magoffin; so, this game is basically a coin flip.

Michael Stevens is a very talented point guard.

Presontsburg has some good shooters.

Magoffin County is always tough at home even when they're not a very good team. They're a good team this year. And that place can absolutely ROCK when the fans - especially those CRAZY STUDENTS get keyed up!!

I'm going with the Hornets. It could be close, but I expect them to win by maybe 10 points. Magoffin has played a very agressive half court man-to-man defense that has taken each team they've played so far out of their offense. Pure shooters have to be open to have a good game. P'burg will not get a lot of wide open shots. Another thing, the Hornets have found several ways to win so far. They've been sparked by different players in each of their games.

Im going to say the Hornets in this one baby! and not just because im a hornet fan either, I believe they have what it takes to get things done this year. Im proud of they way they are playing they've came a long way. But also prestonsburg is an excellent team, I believe they are gonna come ready as ever, every year they have talent deep into their benches. Also I know the feeling and the atmosphere that surrounds the court at magoffin, im there every home game I can go to, I'm a Bleacher Creature!!! Good luck to both teams

I think that the much improved Magoffin team will hang with the Cats, but I've seen
P-Burg practice a couple of times and they have been working very hard and have looked impressive. I look for them to come out with a lot of intensity and heart. It will for sure be a nail biter but I think Prestonsburg will prevail in the end.

I just heard that Magoffin lost to Cumberland at Harlan. This has to be a disappointing loss. Evidently, the Hornets didn't play well at all the entire game.

If they play like they can, I'll stick with my prediction that the Hornets will beat P'burg - but not by 15!

I’m going with Magoffin in a close one. Coming of a disappointing loss against Cumberland, the Hornets will be ready to play. I can't wait for the atmosphere of the first home basketball game. This will be a great game.

I'll aggree with that. Even if Magoffin is the better team, P'Burg's pride will make them fight harder than ever to avoid defeat. The Betsy Layne game was a wake up call for teams in the 15th. Magoffin will not be able to sneak up on anyone this season. So the Hornets better come with their game face on!
