East Ky Lightning

Has anyone heard of this 15 yr old AAU team called the East Ky Lightning?
I was talking to this guy the other day and he told about this teams accomplishments. They sound like the are really good would love to see them play, but they don’t play much around here.

The players include Tyler Newsome from Virgie, Logan Bryant from Dorton, Tate Cox from June Buchanan, Houston Mcanallen from Pikeville, Taylor Newsome from Virgie, Garrison Collins from June Buchanan, and Ashley Hatfield from Virgie.

They're an AAU team out of London, if I'm not mistaking. I've played them many times. I think we actually beat them a few.

They are not out of lodon everyone of them are from pike county expecct the two kids from june buchanan

If i am not mistaken the Lowe kid from pike central and thompson from Lawrence Co. played on that team together a few years back.
I am sorry they played on East Ky Fastbreak team.

I wouldn't just call it a Virgie team. They have 3 from Virgie, 2 from Dorton and June Buchanan, and 1 from Pikeville.

Iv'e talked to the coach and he really wants these kids to go to the same high school but it doesn't look like it's going to happen
But a couple of them will probally been playing together
Taylor Newsome, Tyler Newsome, Ashley Hatfield, and Elisha Justice will probally go to thwe same school aslo Lougan Bryant
and Tate Cox and Garrison Collins will be playing together at June Buchanan
but Houston will stay at pikeville

I saw this team set up at Hillbilly Days last year. doing a fundraiser.  Sounds like they are fabulous.  I hope they all do go to the same school -- they will be unstopable!

Elisha Justice is a great ball handler, im sure he has been a big help to this team-he sure has done great for sv this year
