The past few years there seems to be an incline in diabetes. Or maybe its just me starting to pay attention I don't really know. Anyways I have been a diabetic since I was 20 months old, and have taken around 20,000 shots in my day. I was just wondering if anyone else has diabetes, and if you take care of yourself?

Shots but last I was home he was trying the pills, I have no clue if he's just on pills now or not, I think he is though

I wish they would put me on the pills, but my pancreas has completely shut down, so the pills wouldn't do me any good.

Nah it's ok. I mean I don't know anything else and I've learned to adapt to it. But it is cool whenever I'm out and need a shot, and someone looks at me and passes out cause I've got a needle stuck in my stomach lol.

I am CTD. I think the incline is somewhat due to the USA's obesity rate. But they also lowered the standards on glucose count.

Just about everyone on my moms side of the family is. They are so bad that her brothers and her father have had heartattacks and they can't get in to have open heart surgery because they are diabetics.

My dad got one of those pumps now....... he says it's great...... he doesn't have as many emotional highs or lows, plus now there's no hassle to take shots
I need to go get checked for type 2, or that's what about 4 people have told me. What are the symptoms of it? Like are there specific ones?

My mom had diabetes, it was really bad. She was on both shots and pills and the doctors still couldn't seem to get it under control. Its a very scary thing and the diabetic spells can come out of no where.
It runs my family on my moms side.
i just got checked for it cuz my dad is but i tested negative for it. That dont mean i couldn't get it later on tho.

My sugar has been giving me some problems at school. My hands start shaking and my legs get weak and sometimes I get really sick to my stomach. It's around the same time every day but I eat lunch before it and everything and it doesn't help. I just feel like my sugar is really low and get the sugar shakes as I call them. I ran the other day and ate a Milky Way really quick before I got sicker but I need to go to the doctor to see what is going wrong. I've been having some stomach problems for years now and they keep getting worse so maybe my pancreas is having some trouble and that is affected my sugar as well...

hypoglycemia, tribe..
Pancreas putting out more than you need..
Cali some symptoms are
having to pee a lot
constant thirst
fatigue
loss of weight (sometimes)
that's about the main ones.. some people differ though..
Well I had my sugar checked the other day or whatever and it was a little high but not outrageous or anything. I can't remember what it was.
