:PoliceLig I have seen several young players hanging on the rim. I hope a couple of years from now these players start slamming down allyoops and bring excitement back into the game. Just shooting is boring. IMO. Oh yes dont forget about nasty blocks. that will bring the fans to their feet.

What is the most importiant, how high your feet gets up in the air, or how high your hands or shot is up in the air? Dev can jump high enough to be the ONLY person in the region to have a in game dunk this year...........

he is also 1 of the tallest....just how close is he to the rim when he holds his arms up next to the goal??? the thread asked 4 the highest leaper not the shortest who can dunk.

Well, I have never measured how far up he can reach. That was done to myself once, I had to jump 11 inches to get my wrist to the goal. Which is the lowest you can actually jump to dunk. Where he is shorter than I am, I am going to guess his wont be as high. I also know for a fact, that he got a big scratch at Betsy Layne from where he got above his elbow cought on a snag on either the backboard or goal.

Yes, I am 6'11". I played one year of high school ball at Wheelwright, then played for 3 years for the USMC, then 3 years at Pikeville College. My question is, isnt the reason to jump to get your hands higher in the air in basketball? So why worry about how far up your feet get? Shorter people tend to have a higher vertical than taller people. That is why people like David Robinson or Shaq never wins slam dunk contests. They cant get in the air like the shorter ones and do all the spins and such. But does that mean the smaller people who get up in the air higher are more importiant in this game? Who would you rather have on your team, a Mugsy or a Shaq?

Its not what it is cracked up to be Doc.... trust me... low doors, small cars, cant find clothes... People saying the only thing you got going for you in sports is your size. No matter how you preform, it is because you are tall... so enjoy the shortness, it makes life easier.

Well, considering I have to jump 11 inches, I would guess Dev's would be 16 or so. He can do that with ease and get way above the rim. Who do you think is the best jumper brusier?
