The last surviving American WWI veteran passed away Sunday in West Virginia at 110. Frank Buckles was an ambulance driver in France. This is a very, very sad day. There are now two living WWI survivors (both allies) in the world. Claude Stanley Choules, 109, served with the Australian Royal Navy, and witnessed the German Naval surrender. Florence Green, a 110 year old female, was a waitress for the Womens Royal Air Force.

Saw this on the news this morning. Broke my heart! Although he lived a very long life, a part of history is now gone!

âRelax, all right? Donât try to strike everybody out. Strikeouts are boring! Besides that, theyâre fascist. Throw some ground balls â itâs more democratic.â
