A lot of teams will find out if they are bowl eligible or not after next weekend

As the current standings, I'd give the NC game to LSU-VT/Houston.
#4
^ Sure there is, Bama has earned that right with their game against the Tigers
#5
It isn't a guarantee that the Tigers will win out.
LSU still has to play Arkansas and Georgia lol
#6
Aren't these last weeks rankings anyway?
I didn't the the BCS rankings were calculated until this evening.

Those are the rankings from last week, however there record was updated. As soon as the rankings come out, I'll update this thread

Wow, three SEC teams ranked 1,2,and 3 this late in the year.

Oh yea, i called that.
#10
I think it is safe to say that there will be a SEC team in the title game.

Its almost safe to say there will be 2 in the title game with one being in a BCS bowl as well lol.

I think that LSU vs. Alabama should be the title game. That being said, the BCS will do everything they can to keep it from happening.

The "BCS" can't stop it.
The computers and polls have spoken.
The only thing that can stop it is the voters and I don't know if they can stop it with the case that has been made for the SEC this year.

But....
what if LSU loses to Arkansas?
That would put Arkansas in the title game against Georgia.
Then let's say that Georgia wins the SEC title.
That means the SEC champ would have 2 losses while LSU and Bama don't play for the title and are sitting relatively pretty with one loss.
Then what do you do?

Playoff!!!!
#14
Only way there is not an SEC team in the title game is this:
LSU loses to Arkansas
Bama Loses to Auburn
SEC West Champion loses to Georgia.

All very unlikely and they'll probably be two SEC teams in the BCS Championship.
I'm calling it right now, if LSU and Bama have a rematch, Bama wins. I don't think beating Nick Saban twice in one season is possible, even with an awful kicker.

Agreed.

Bama would beat LSU in a rematch and I think that should be what happens. They are by far the two best teams in college football, and need one more chance to duke it out. Selfish me wants to see it.

I'm selfish too then. lol
