Republicans filibuster equal-pay bill

When looking at US military spending versus the World don't forget the military is like Ghost busters...................Who are you going to call? We are the policemen of the world, for better or worst we have a presence everywhere. If you want to cut military spending the first step should be to cut our funding to the United Nations

1. War in Afghanistan-Operation Enduring Freedom-The US and it's Allies went after AL-Qaeda targets and the Taliban that supported Al-Qaida. Remember it was Al-Qaida that was responsible for multiple terrorist attacks in the 1990's and 9/1/11. The Taliban gave protection to this organization. President Bush was given Congressional authorization to use force in Afghanistan -

2. War in Iraq- Saddam Hussein violated numerous UN resolutions over his weapon programs and other regional security issues the last being UN Security Council Resolution 1441 Also The US Congress passed in 2002- The Iraq Resolution or the Iraq War Resolution-Introduced in Congress on October 2, 2002, in conjunction with the Administration's proposals, H.J.Res. 114 passed the House of Representatives on Thursday afternoon at 3:05 p.m. EDT on October 10, 2002, by a vote of 296-133, and passed the Senate after midnight early Friday morning, at 12:50 a.m. EDT on October 11, 2002, by a vote of 77-23. Less we Forget- ""In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program. He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including Al Qaeda members, though there is apparently no evidence of his involvement in the terrible events of September 11, 2001. It is clear, however, that if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare, and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons. Should he succeed in that endeavor, he could alter the political and security landscape of the Middle East, which as we know all too well affects American security." -- Hillary Clinton, October 10, 2002

"Iraq does pose a serious threat to the stability of the Persian Gulf and we should organize an international coalition to eliminate his access to weapons of mass destruction. Iraq's search for weapons of mass destruction has proven impossible to completely deter and we should assume that it will continue for as long as Saddam is in power." -- Al Gore, 2002

3. Medicare Prescription Drug, Improvement, and Modernization Act of 2003
Passed the House 216-215, Passed the Senate 61-38. At the time many people want the opportunity to buy cheaper drugs even getting them from Canada. This bill permitted that and opened up medicare users an opportunity to buy their medicine on the open market(you know that evil capitalist system)

1. We went after Bin Laden and those responsible- war isn't a movie or a video game sometimes it takes time and it's not pretty. Waging a war in Afghanistan has historically been difficult because of the unique political and geographical issues

2. Both sides of the isle believed their were WDM in Iraq. Hussein used poison gas on his own people in the 1980's and early 1990's. He was trying to build nuclear weapons, biological, and chemical weapons. He repeatedly violated UN resolutions for inspections. Under both the Clinton and Bush administration it was felt to stabilize the region something had to be done with Saddam Hussein.

3. Have you looked at Obama Care and it's cost.

4. President Obama and his followers need to stop blaming President Bush. Tax cuts are a good thing. The American people should be able to spend their money as they see fit. If you earned the money, should should be able to do with it as you want.
