Wisconsin taxpayers were not the only winners last night. California taxpayers won elections in San Diego and San Jose last night to cut the retirement benefits for public sector union employees. If it can happen in California, then it can happen anywhere. Does anybody else feel the momentum shifting against liberal Democrats nationwide? Americans are finally beginning to fight back against the unholy alliance between liberal Democrats and unions with their ballots.

LOS ANGELES — As Wisconsin residents voted on Tuesday not to recall Gov. Scott Walker — who has become an enemy of labor unions nationwide — two California cities dealt blows of their own to organized labor.

In San Diego and San Jose, voters overwhelmingly approved ballot initiatives designed to help balance ailing municipal budgets by cutting retirement benefits for city workers.

Around 70 percent of San Jose voters favored the pension measure, while 66 percent of San Diego residents supported a similar measure.

These governmental units ned to take Chapter 9 Bankruptcy and to reject all contracts dealing with these obscene pension plans. Obviously, those who "negotiated" them knew they would be long gone before the manure hit the fan.

The units would, then, be in a position to renegotiate more affordable plans. After all, it is better for them to be able to actually pay their retired workers X instead of not being able to pay them 3X. The latter is no good if it will never be received.

Same goes for businesses who could benefit from Chapter 11.

Most Americans can barely concieve of a true threat to their freedom. Matter of fact, most Americans don't even understand what freedom really means. Other than our military, only those alive during WWII have an actual basis for comparison to that end. Therefore, the majority of the American public has had a lot of trouble accepting the notion that we might be in trouble. People are begining to wake up to the the fact that there are economic and military threats out there hanging over our heads. The vast majority of Americans have never had to experience a threat from without, it has taken the loss of some of their freedoms and the reality of threat from outside our country to open their eyes. It's been hard to shake folks out the idea that if we are 'nice' to the nations, they will be nice to us. They have wrongly believed it's a live and let live world out there. Actually those who would destroy our country could be described in the following terms; imagine the USA as an area being protected by flood wall. Outside the floodwall the flood waters are ravenging the landscape on all sides. If we were to lift even one floodgate, our protected area would be immediately inundated by the raging flood waters crashing against our wall of protection. We can never make friends with the flood waters, as long as the waters rage outside our walls they will do only one thing if they ever got the chance, destroy our city/country.

Such is the true nature of our sworn enemies in this world. It's been a long time since we have been threatened by raging waters (military threat) from without and the simple minded among us had begun to reason within themselves, that the threat is negligible. They think no one would dare to attack us, therefore, we need to reach out to our enemies and prove to them what a gracious and fair people we are. We'll give them food and money and other types of aid and the next thing you know, maybe I'll be there to shake your hand, maybe I'll be there to share the land. That they'll be giving away, when we all live together.

Sorry, I heard that song today and it just struck me how ridiculous some folks vision of reality is. The wolf will always be at the door. If we open it, he will come right on in and eat us up. As long as we maintain a strong defense, we'll have all the friends we can use. But, if we let our guard down the way Obama and the liberal mental midgets want us to, we're on the menu.

If the awakening is for real, Obama is in trouble.
