The corruption in the Obama administration is matched only by its incompetence. The blog announcement that Obama does not plan to enforce the employer mandate requirement of Obamacare until after the 2014 mid-term elections has not postponed the train wreck called Obamacare, it has just switched it to another track. As I said in an earlier thread, Obama could not turn a profit running a lemonade stand if you gave him unlimited free lemons and sugar.
Fortunately for Obama, he is not spending his own money on his hare brained socialist schemes, he is spending ours. When he retires, he will live in comfort, surrounded by Secret Service agents for the rest of his life. Most Americans will suffer because he was given eight years to play president.

Quote:Not Qualified For Obamacare's Subsidies? Just Lie -- Govt. To Use 'Honor System' Without Verifying Your Eligibility[/INDENT]
If you thought the delay in the employer mandate was bad news for Obamacare, just wait. On Friday, Sarah Kliff and Sandhya Somashekhar of the Washington Post discovered that the Obama administration had buried in the Federal Register the announcement that the government wonât be able to verify whether or not applicants for Obamacareâs insurance exchange subsidies are actually qualified for the aid, in the 16 states that are setting up their own exchanges. Instead, until at least 2015, these states will be able to âaccept the applicantâs attestation [regarding eligibility] without further verification.â
Without employer mandate, Feds to rely on applicant âattestationsâ
If youâve been following the latest news around Obamacare, you know that on Tuesday evening, just before the Independence Day holiday, the White House announced that it would be delaying the implementation of the health lawâs employer mandateârequiring all firms with more than 50 employees to provide health coverage to their workersâuntil 2015.
I, and several others at the time, said âwait a minute.â According to the law, you arenât eligible for Obamacareâs subsidies if your employer has offered you what the government considers âaffordableâ coverage. But if employers are no longer going to report whether or not theyâve offered âaffordableâ coverage, how can the government verify whether or not workers are eligible for subsidies?
Now we know the answer. The government is going with what Kliff and Somashekhar call âthe honor system.â âWe have concluded that theâ¦proposed rule is not feasible for implementation for the first year of operations,â say the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. âThe exchange may accept the applicantâs attestation regarding enrollment in an eligible employer-sponsored planâ¦without further verification, instead of following the procedure in §155.320(d)(3)(iii).â
