Move along people, nothing to see here

The economy actually contracted 2.9% in the first quarter instead of the 1% previously thought. This makes the worst "growth" in five years.

If you read the article, you would think the economy is on pace to make an incredible comeback. Seems like this happens every quarter. Economy not in good shape, yet Obama is on the verge of saving it!

Now, move along people. Nothing to see here.

I can relate. The gist of the article insists that Obama single handedly saved the American economy and the proof is in the fact that we've seen growth for 60 months. Not very darn much growth, according to anybody not drunk on the koolaid but, some small growth none the less. The problem is that we are only just now recovering to the 2008 levels.

In fact, we've seen the price of gasoline shoot up 100% since Obama assumed the self styled mantle of savior. From $1.83 to about $3.85 at present. While at the same time, we've seen income shrink during that same time frame. Everything is up in fact, as the first quarter GDP is down an alarming 2.9% (artificially adjusted because 2.something sounds better than 3.something).

Despite what these yokels would have us believe, he most important issue we face is hardly the non existent global warming. And, the economy is faltering. At some point all the quantitative easing will show up for the 500 pound gorilla it really is, is. And, would somebody please explain to me how folks who qualify for HARP loans could possibly be construed as a sound financial risk? The ad they air tells us all we need to know. Anybody who's financial sheet shows that they owe 300 thousand on a secured loan based on 150 thousand dollar security. And that further, that qualifies them for a HARP loan, so, if at least part of the criteria to qualify for a government subsidized loan is insolvency, you know another bubble is about to pop. And you know who's responsible, Uncle Sam again.
