COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson men's basketball team lost to Campbellsville (Ky.) 67-65 Thursday at Biggers Sports Center. The Blue Raiders were unable to force a stop late in the game as the teams traded baskets for most of the half. Campbellsville went a perfect 6-for-6 from the foul line in the final two minutes to push the game out of reach.

Four Blue Raiders (19-2, 4-2 MSC) were in double figures as Jordan Hamlette led the way scoring a game-high 19 points after going 5-of-6 from deep. Hannes Erhardt recorded a double-double posting 14 points and a career-high 18 rebounds. Charles Sutton added 14 points as Bryan Wallace had 11 and six assists.

The Blue Raiders (19-2, 4-2 MSC) and Campbellsville (17-5, 2-4 MSC) opened the contest trading baskets, as the score was tied 10-10 with 13:40 left in the first half. Kel Stotts then hit back-to-back shots for LWC that spurred on a 7-0 run over the next two minutes.

Campbellsville responded with a 10-2 run of their own to take a 20-19 lead with nine minutes left in the half. Lindsey Wilson was able to build a 27-22 lead with 6:18 left but the Tigers closed out the half on a 12-4 run to take a 34-31 lead.

Lindsey Wilson shot 41.4 percent from the field on 12-of-29 shooting from the floor. Hamlette went a perfect 2-for-2 from beyond the ark as the Blue Raiders connected on 4-of-10 attempts from deep. Sutton led all Blue Raiders with eight points in the half. Campbellsville shot 42.4 percent from the field after connecting on 14-of-33 shots. The Tigers Andrew Smith led all players with 11 points.

The Blue Raiders opened the second half on an 8-3 run as Erhardt hit LWC's first three shot and a Hamlette three pointer gave Lindsey Wilson a two point lead with just over four minutes gone.

Over the next 12 minutes the Blue Raiders and Campbellsville were unable get any separation as the two teams traded baskets. The Tigers were able to build the largest lead during the span of four points as they led 61-57 with 3:37 left in the game.

LWC had a chance to tie the game, down three with 12 seconds to play, but Stotts was unable to connect on a three pointer as he was guarded by a pair of Tigers. Campbellsville then made both ensuing free throws to make it a two score game.

The Blue Raiders and Campbellsville both shot 41.9 percent from the floor for the game.

The Tigers Andrew Smith scored a team-high 17 points adding nine rebounds as Tim Coleman recorded 11 points. As a team Campbellsville recorded 42 rebounds, five steals and five blocks.

The Blue Raiders are back in action on Saturday when they take on Georgetown (Ky.) at 3 p.m. CT at the Davis-Reid Alumni Gym.
