Nice list.

Amazing that one team had 3 of the best to play in the mountains in the last 20 years in the Littles and Wells. Remember when Neon knocked them off!
#4
Pitcher- Freddy Maggard-Cumberland- went on the UK to play football.

Outstanding pitcher and quarterback. He played for Cumberland in the 13th region.

Where is Chase at now?

After he graduated in 2005 I think he went to Seminole Community College in FLA. I have not heard where he has gone since.

Evidently he moved on either during or after the '06 season, as he is not on the '07 roster.

Good list. I would add Brandon Smith (KCC) to the catcher's list. Smith had a great batting average, if not the best, at KCC. And the kid at Letcher Central, Hogg. Good all around catcher and hitter. KCC hasn't had the caliber of pitching since Jacobs, unless you count the 8th grader that is now at JBS. Probably more to add once I think of them.

Jarvis Williams was a great baseball player from KCC. I think the late Neil Sloan should be on that list as a pitcher. Very smooth, great mechanics and a GREAT team player!
#12
The kid from Powell three or four years ago. Nice pitcher I think went to K state. Dilce Combs had some nice pitchers in the late 80's early 90's. Bryan Dean from Owlsey. Played at ALC EKU. Back in the Napier days there were some really solid players I just can't think of the names.
#13
M.C Napier did have several good players that may be suitable to this list.....Some of them played in the final four..
Jeff Gillum-pitcher
Bobby Dixon-pitcher
Mark Dixon-pitcher
Jeff Jones-pitcher
Amos Herald-Catcher
Larry Begley-Catcher
Tim Neace-Catcher

Steven Spangler is probably who your talking about. He is no longer at Ky St. He was a pretty good pitcher though.
#15
There are several great pitchers and several great pitchers, however the best pitcher catcher combo in the last 20 years is Brandon Hammonds and Josh Todd........2 Regional titles in 2000 and 2002 with a regional runner up in 2001

Other nice batteries:
Jason Chandler and Jesse Allen (Breathitt Co.)
Shawn Little and Danny Thomas (Lee Co.)
Todd Jacobs and Jamie Couch (KCC)
Roger and Rodney Little and Brian Campbell (Hazard)
Jason Couch and Timmy Neace (PCC)
Quentin Morgan and Timmy Baker (Leslie Co.)
Lamar Williams and Chase Patrick (Hazard)
#19
Dont forget about Devon Ratliff from KCC, he was on that great team with Todd Jacobs and also played at MSU, actually had a better college career than Todd.
#20
Josh Shofner from Pikeville won some games for the Panthers before continuing his career at UK. I believe he's well worthy of being mentioned.
#21
We are talking about 14th region. But yes Shofner was very tough.
#22
Jimy Keith of Cordia is the best catcher iv seen in the 14th in my lifetime
#23
Mr.Kimball Wrote:I want to say that Banjo originally signed with Pikeville College.

His name was David Spangler and yes he signed with Pikeville and is no longer there. Steven was his little brother.

Jimmy was a great one no doubt about that. Sean Dixon was a great catcher as well @ Cordia ( 1989) went on to WV State and then to Pikeville College.
