Well....I couldn't find any classification of softball. I had just dreamed that there was 3 classifications I guess. I apologize for that. There are only 2. All A or everyone. The breakdown is like this. Owensboro Catholic has won 4 State Championships, and Reidland has won 2. Both of their football teams play in the 2A class. The other 7 state championships have been won by Dupont Manual (2) and they are 6A in football and one each by Greenwood (6A), Ryle (6A), Calloway Co (4A), North Laurel (5A) and Christian Co. (5A).

I'll eat crow on the fact that 2A schools have won almost as many as the bigger schools. I just think there isn't as much opportunity as there should be. We should celebrate as many student atheletes as we can, whether they play football, run cross country or play softball.
