ESPN to introduce 3-D sports channel
#1
NEW YORK -- ESPN is looking to ride one of the next big waves in consumer electronics with a new 3-D sports channel.
The network, owned by the Walt Disney Co., says it will introduce a channel this year that will broadcast live sports events using the technology, starting with the FIFA World Cup soccer match on June 11.

This could be cool but might not catch on if you have to wear the glasses to watch TV

Now will this be a combination of 3D and High Def? That would be crazy, you could totally feel like you're actually in the game!!

^ Agree, I'm not going to watch television with cardboard glasses wrapped around my head

I think this is a stupid idea and a waste of money. Even some of the people on ESPN said it was a bad idea.
