If LC can be ranked #9 in 4A with all their wins against a bunch of nobodies, Pineville might as well too. I mean heck Pineville and LC both played Paintsville I think?

To be honest i think Pineville is very worthy of that ranking. Fairview has probably played a weaker schedule thank Pineville but there at 4. Also must point a mistake out in 1A Beechwood is 2-3 not 5-0. Pineville will be tested by Hazard but i think they actually may be better than williamsburg but i believe they match up with each other really well. Pineville is my darkhorse ive said from day 1 of the season and i look for them to beat Pikeville in the 2nd round of the playoffs and get another shot at hazard.

My notion of the situation with Hazard, is this. Should Pinveille get by these next 3 games (all loosing records) that the Hazard @ Pineville game will actually decide the Region Champ. Both would be 8-0.

Heres why. Playoff home field. Should Hazard win, then a playoff rematch would be @ Hazard. Don't think we can win there, but feel we can steal one here at home if we can beat them now to acheive that advantage. Also the mental side of already having beaten them. (tho in most repeats of close teams its usually a split). Being the top seed out of the district might be Pineville's only way, Winner is 1 seed, loser is on the road 2 of 3 games against both 1 seeds. Not sure which 1 seed would host the region this year ...

My thoughts, on my hometown team thus far, and a small look ahead.

What I will say this has been a great HS football season thus far with some GREAT games in the next half of the season as teams head into District for Playoff spots, not just in the Mountians, but all over.

I don't think many voters take into account bad calls by the refs in these polls. As for SW's spot I think it is fair, they have played a tough schedule. There are a few teams ahead of them that I feel like they would beat.
