It's a weird system, just like in VA. VA has only 3 classes. But they have a Division 1 and Division 2 in each class for playoff purposes. Districts can even have teams from both divisions in their class as District opponents. In effect VA has 6 state champions but here they are Class AA Division 1 Champion or Class AA Division 2 Champion. Why they don't just say Class AAA and AAAA is beyond me.

My guess is that Tn is the same way. Soddy Daisy is in Class AAA but playoffs they are Class 6A (Similar to VA's set up of AAA Division 2). Crazy.
