why do teams that host Bowl Games play first instead of Last?

why do teams that host Bowl Games play first instead of Last?

Somerset played first in their bowl game the last 2 years because Harlan County was the non-local team and had such a long drive. This year Somerset plays the 2nd game. Sometimes travel is the reason, other times it makes it easier for the parents to watch their team play and then take over the concession stands etc. for the 2nd game.
