14th Region 2015
#1
1. Hazard - lose Haynes, Roll, Meehan. Lots of experince returning from final 8 team.
2. Knott Central - Chance Cornett returns along with Turner & Dalton Cornett
3. Perry Central - like Hazard return a lot of young experienced players. If Conley ends up there they could be the favorite.
4.-8. LCC, Powell & Estill lost a lot to graduation. Jackson City & Leslie returns a lot, Cordia more transfers?

One interesting move has already occured in the 14th. Estill County is looking for a new coach.

How can anybody say that PCC will be the favorite if a certain kid transfers to that school. The proof is in the pudding Hazard got better when a couple of kids decided to QUIT.. People can listen to parents who say Hazard's Coaches can not coach, well it looks like they know what they are doing and some kids are just not coach-able. Star players play for stats, teams win championships. If he is a freshman then he will have to sit out a year unless he shows reason why he changed address for reasons other than sports. I think Knott Co will be one of the teams to beat next year, they have pitching and solid defense, will be interesting to see them and Hazard go head up

Well that kid has been clocked at 86 mph and beat #1 Woodford as an 8th grader. Maybe he will have an attitude change with with a change of venue. But I agree that the best "team" wins most of the time when the more talented team is selfish. Hazard is proof of that. Coach Meehan and his staff are as good as anyone in the state. The 14th is competitive every year.

1. Hazard-return a ton of talent from an elite 8 team
2.Knott Central-Chance Cornett returns also Dalton Cornett returns. Talented team.
3.PCC- Return a ton of young kids that were not a bad ball club.
4 LCC- Lose alot but Brian Dean will have them well oiled when Region starts
5.Estill- Always solid but without Tuttle they will lack that power pitcher.
6.Powell-Lost alot to graduation but return a decent group of ball players.
7. Jackson City- Return a slew of good ball players. The turner boys will be better next season and the youngest will be eligible to play. .
8. Cordia- Never know who they will bring in to play so this team could go anywhere from 3-8 in the region.
9. Leslie- Returns a good group of young players. Played well at time and showed their spurts but still made young mistakes.
10. Breathitt returns all of their players as well. Still going to be very young though with all sophomores and freshman starting and possibly another 8th grader. Weights are gonna be the key to this young group. All very small.

Hazard has to be the favorite. Not saying they can't be beat but they have some of the best talent returning. Knott will be in contention especially with Cornett on the mound. Pcc is young but will make things competitive. Powell, Estill, and Letcher lost a lot but you can never count them out.

:biglmao: IF he is a Freshman.........You jackrabbit22 of all people knows what grade he's in! To be "COACHED" there has to be a willing "COACHING STAFF" which was not the case here. They didn't want him.....he's no longer there.....Problem solved!
This is a prime example of why Conley no longer plays at Hazard. NEVER a good word for the kid always Negative!! But, that's just the way you are.....:lame: :flush: Good luck Conley on what ever choice you make for 2015.:Clap::Clap::Clap:

One kid can make a difference at this level.
#9
Estill will compete even after losing talent last year.
#10
Conley at Perry does make Perry better but I wouldn't put Perry over Hazard or Knott...

Hazard returns a lot plus they added a very good Fr. in Devin Morris...

1. KCC, return C. Cornett, top player in 14th and first team all state, D. Cornett, top catcher in region, and Turner who argueably one of the best 2nd basemen in the region.
2. Hazard, returns WELLS, who is Hazards best player and the BEST first baseman in the region and also a all stater. Smith, who pitched well in the region, along with several others from a final 8 team.
3. Jackson City, good young team from last yr will be another yr older
4. PCC, return Pray, Neace, and Cottongame, Conley if eligible.
5. LCC, will be young but WELL coached, Blair could be a force on the mound.
6. Powell, good younger kids returning
7. Leslie
8. Estill
9. Codia
10. Breathitt

Powell will be killed with the loss of it's 9 seniors and most of its strong bats but has a strong pitching staff returning in hall and woosley. They have a lot of young talent coming up especially in its freshman class.
