PETA Your thoughts on this group.
#1
I am interested as to how most of you feel.
I will post my opinion later.
#2
They are freaks! They get on my nerves because they freak out about every little animal issue. I don't like them.
#3
I wonder how many of our members watched Penn and Tellers bull**** on showtime.
I had no idea that PETA was actually funding people who could be classified as terrorist.
#4
Oh My Gosh..Are you serious?

I found this while reading the PETA website. This kind of ties in with the horse story that was debated for a while.

Wow 90 years for a puppy.

Wonder what the horse slayers would have to say about that.

That is exactly why I posted that link. 90 years is a bit extreme for a dog. Before everyone gets upset over that. There are people out there that get less time for killing a human.

Our justice system is a bit screwed up due to crackpot organizations like this.

I dont like PETA on the whole but I found the page witht the info about the studies of violent crimes and the amount of people on death row who had a background of animal torture
#10
Could someone explain what PETA is?

Here's a link about PETA with some interesting facts.
Check out where from 1998 - 2005 PETA adopted 17,806 animals and out of those 14,419 were killed by PETA that's 80.1%

There was an article in the paper a couple of days ago about a couple of PETA members being charged for euthanizing animals that they rescued from shelters. Talk about hypocritical.

PETA President Ingrid Newkirk said "even if animal research resulted in a cure for Aids we would be against it"

These are some weird people!

I like how they support animal rights and such.
I like how they are against animal testing, skinning, hunting and animal cruelty.
BUT I do NOT like how they protested horse racing.
I was in Lexington during the protest and I was FURIATED on what they had to say! They were totally ignorant to the sport, and supported their statements only with opinions, NOT facts! For this I TOTALLY dislike Peta. i mean just because a horse goes down, doesn't make the sport cruel. duh! Racing has been going on longer than any Peta members have been alive. Racing will never be illegal, so they should just deal with it!!
So I can't say I totally love PETA....
and I could never go veggo Wink
