Syracuse 60 Pittsburg 55
#1
Pittsburgh -- The lowly Pittsburgh Panthers, winless in the ACC this season, put a scare into the Syracuse Orange on Saturday.

With nine minutes left in the game, Syracuse was tied with Pittsburgh and desperately trying to avoid what would be its worst loss of the season.

But the Orange made just enough plays down the stretch to survive with a 60-55 victory over the Panthers at the Petersen Events Center.

Syracuse extended its winning streak to three games as the Orange improved to 15-6 on the season and 4-4 in the ACC.

Pittsburgh fell to 8-14 on the season. The Panthers are now 0-9 in the ACC. Pitt has lost 13 consecutive ACC regular-season games. The Panthers' last ACC win was an 80-66 overtime decision over No. 17 Florida State on Feb. 18, 2017.

Syracuse's win was just the Orange's third in the 15-year history of the Petersen Events Center.

Homer Simpson is not getting it done at Pittsburgh. Should have paid Dixon what he wanted.
