Shelby Valley 9 Johnson Central 0

SV has put together two impressive back to back wins...apparently they have awakened to reclaim their spot at the top of the 15th Region...this is simply not the same team that was embarrassed by pikeville last week!:Cheerlead

BADDOG, you need to wake up. SV will not be in the region this year, and if they are they will get beat in the region. SV always had defense but that has changed. Courtney is not there to save Greg Napier this year.

according to the khsaa.org website, the top dawgs right now are the Lady Dawgs of Lawrence County. In order to reclaim tthe top spot in the region it would seem they need to jump ahead of ER, Pikeville and LC. Sorry, they may have awakened but they haven't claimed the top spot yet.

Be careful about bragging it may come back to haunt you!

Regarding some of the previous posts...

It appears their defense showed up the last two nights...Letcher Central and Johnson Central can attest to that. ER was mercied by JC and Pikeville hasn't played them. Lawrence County, ER, Pikeville are atop the KHSAA standings simply due to overall record. LC is #1 since they have not lost in the region, but SV has the second best region record. SV's defense has stepped it up, Stanley is hitting her spots and forcing hitters to hit into their weakness, and the offense has returned...and 6 of SV's starters have played in a regional championship atmosphere and a State Tournament...does anyone else have that experience?

i agree bigdog! and records really dont matter! what matters is who plays the best in their district and then what carries over into region! but we will see! i believe valley is the best team in the region and i think that the people that dont agree will be suprised!

Actually all regular season games say nothing! When it comes District and Region time the girls play two different games. Best reconds means nothing!! And i think the top three teams will be Lawerence County, East Ridge, & Johnson Central.

Shelby Valley will win the 59th

SV will have to beat Pikeville and East Ridge to win the 59th. All three teams have split at the previous meetings. Should be some good games to watch come next week.

The Lady BatKats appear to be on a mission...and they are quickly climbing back to the top spot! Pitching and Defense, along with some excellent plate appearances and sound baserunning are making the climb a little easier!

We have made it to region! We haven't won yet but we blowed you saying that we weren't gonna be in the region right out of the water!
