Paintsville 39 East Jessamine 24
#1
Didn’t see a thread for this game yet. I figured Paintsville Tigers would be ready to play! Congrats on the win.

Slow start for the Tigers. Down 14-0 early but settled down and controlled the 2nd half.

2000PHS In your opinion, how good is East Jessamine?

Saw film from this game. Paintsville looks very strong upfront and their skill kids arent blazing fast but they too seem very stout and play downhill very well. Raceland will have their hands full with both of these teams.

They would be a top 4/5 Class A school. Pikeville would kill them and Racleand and some of the other top teams would beat them. Big and physical upfront. Good size and decent overall team speed. Very run heavy so it limits what you have to prepare for. Weaker on defense, passing teams will eat them up. Also weak on the edges.

Congratulations to the Paintsville tigers

Good win for Paintsville. Just looking at the stats Harris Phelps has a good start to his sophomore season with 23 carries for 144 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns. It looks like he will be the workhorse back this year following in the line of his brothers Kent and John Walker.

Mason Lovely transferring from Magoffin County is already helping out the Tiger defense. He's listed with 17 tackles.
