Analysis

To say the Bears haven't "played" anybody is to say you haven't done your research.
Look at the 5 Opp. W-L records of my "top 5 defenses of all time."

1985 Bears:32-68
2000 Ravens:44-56
2002 Bucs:44-55-1
1992 Cowboys:43-57
1972 Dolphins:38-61-1

The Bears come in at 43-57, comparable to the 2000 Ravens and 2002 Bucs, and the exact same as the 92 Cowboys, and much better than the 85 Bears or 72 Dolphins.

So to say the Bears cannot classify as a top defense of all time, you have to say the 2000 Ravens were overrated, the 2002 Bucs were overrated, the 92 Cowboys were overrated, and the 85 Bears and 72 Dolphins just sucked.

As big of a Colts fan as I am, if you take a look at those great defenses, you will find a common thread. They all won the Super Bowl. The Bears are the last thing the Colts would want to see come early Feburary in Detroit.

The Bears defense this season is for real. Most sports analysts even said before the season said it was Super Bowl caliber. They may have still underrated this defense. They are Pro Bowl caliber. If they had a good offense this team would be amazing.
