Starting to look like it may not happen. I think that Votto is beginning to lack on the batting average but he should be able to keep up the RBI lead and stay on top for the MVP voting.

C-Gonz just went up to .340 as of this morning!!! Looks like it is sailing away, but batting average is the only 3-crown category that can DROP. If he keeps up the Homers and RBI total, he can keep in the race.

I think Pujols .309 is too low to get back in the race though.

But if Im not mistake, I read some where that Carlos Gonzalez has to at least average 4.7 bats a game to be able to qualify for it. As of right now he dosent have enough bats on the year where he missed so many games the first of the year. But I may be wrong.

If Joey Votto wins the MVP and the Reds win the division, all is good.

A player is required to have 502 appearances for the triple crown.

According to baseball reference.com Carlos Gonzales has: "Games played-123 Plate Appearances-542"
