The passing of Bob Feller is a great loss to professional sports in general and to baseball in particular. Bob Feller was one of the best pitchers in the long history of baseball. He deserves to be grouped at the very top with immortals like Walter Johnson, Christy Mathewson, Cy Young, Warren Spahn and Grover Alexander. However, of more importance, he was a kind and good man. Baseball, as well as all other professional sports, have far too few Bob Fellers. He will be sadly missed by all who relish the history of our National Pastime. May God bless the Feller family.

Now this guy was the epitome of a hero. A hall of fame pitcher, one of the greatest ever. A great man with sound morals, and a great soldier. The world needs more guys like Bob Feller.
