Ashland looks like the team to beat in the district and probably the region. Good schedule to get them ready for the post season too.

i think they will be alright.

Ashland Blazer was a mid-range team last year in Eastern Kentucky as a whole but great in their district. Rowan County will be the team to beat in that region.
#5
Rowan will be a contender but they lost some key players from the team that won it last year and not sure if they have an answer for Connors. But the Lady Vikings will make some noise for sure in the post season.

With all-area players Connor and Dietrich returning, Ashland will be the favorite but Rowan will also be at the top, if they can replace the talent and , more importantly, the leadership of Martin, Riddle and Brockman.

Ashland also has a great supporting cast around those two you mentioned. Hanners, Farris, and one of the best pure shooters in the region in Gambill. Rowan should be a gd team but i think Boyd has more than Rowan and will be the next best team.

16 th region top contenders:
Ashland
East Carter
Rowan County

Ashland is a seasoned team with a great supporting group of younger players. Ashland should dominate the inside with Connor and Hanners. Dietrich will continue to be the play maker on the floor and provide great leadership for this team. Gambill should be able to fill some of the outside shooting lost by Wilcox and Strait. And with Heaberlin and Farris coming along this team should be representing the 16th region in Bowling Green.
