I don't have stats from these games since I was at Dorton all night. Maybe I can get them from one of the coaches and post them later.

The tournament continues next Monday with the following matchups:

6:00 Hazard vs Martha Jane Potter

7:00 Cumberland vs Feds Creek

8:00 Herald Whitaker vs TBA

9:00 Cowan vs Dorton

**I am still looking for 1 team to take Betsy Layne's place for next Monday and play Herald Whitaker. Hazard has agreed to bring a 7th grade team if I can't get anyone else.

One note from the FC/Whitesburg game. Johnny Miller didn't play because of the flu. Hopefully he'll be feeling better in the next day or two.

Coach, you have a nice tournament, saw some great basketball! I felt Whitesburg was very talented and physical! Dorton has nice players, they will be a handfull for anyone this year! Feds Creek has some nice talent, would have been interesting to see that game with Miller in it.

Johns Creek lost by 5 after being down by 27 at 1 point in the game. Had 2 shots to tie in different situations.

MJP plays hard and has 2 really nice players.

I will post stats tomorrow.

Thanks. The second round next Monday should be a really good one. All the teams who won tonight are solid, as were some who lost.

Does anyone have the scores from the games played at Shelby Valley?

Congratulations to the Feds Creek Vikings! Good luck against Cumberland. Sounds like it was a great night of basketball. Hopefully Johnny Miller will be up and running for the next game. A great athlete, I can't wait to watch him grow into a high school player.
