I closely follow NKY football and Beechwood has became my second favorite team to follow over the past few seasons. I saw them play live several times last season and I can provide some first hand insight based off of those observations and conversations with people close to the program.
Offensively they will have to rely on the run game after the graduation of Hergott. The new QB was injured last week in their scrimmage with Cooper and is expected to miss this week. I look for Beechwood to look a lot like their team in 2018 and will rely on the legs of Mitchell Berger like they had relied on Logan Castleman in that season. The defense should be lights out again this year especially with the addition of Wake Forest Commit Antonio Robinson.
As far as this game goes, I know absolutely nothing about Fairldale other than Beechwood handled them last year. Using that recent history as a reference I’ll take the Tigers.
