In the current CL season Bayer Leverkusen were able to win their last 2 games after a total of 3 matches. Despite the unlucky defeat against the AS Monaco on match day one, they have beaten Benfica with 3:1 and Zenit with 2:0. If they can beat the Russians again in St. Petersburg they can already start thinking about the round of 16. In contradiction to their performances at home, they are not performing that strong on the road. They have just won one of their last 5 games on the road, but lost three times and drew another game. But with a 2:0 win in the last meeting against Zenit they should actually be pretty confident when heading to Russia. Reinartz, Wendell, Rolfes and Castro will not join the team in the CL because they are injured, except Wendell who is suspended. Despite a good season, Bayer will travel to Russia with a defeat against the HSV in the Bundesliga on Saturday where they have lost with 0:1.

At the moment, the key man for Arsenal is not a debate. Their key man is Chilean superstar Alexis Sanchez. Sanchez has carried the Gunners for their last few matches. The injury woes continue to grow for Arsene Wenger with eight players currently missing from selection. What makes it worse for the Frenchman is that all eight are important first team players and makes Arsenals job of keeping up with the top teams even harder. Wilshere (knee), Gibbs (hip), Koscielny (Achilles tendonitis), Ospina (hip), Gnabry (knee), Debuchy (ankle ligaments), Giroud (broken shinbone) and Ozil (crucial knee ligaments) are all missing from action.

Anderlecht’s key man is their goalscorer from the first meeting, Andy Najar. The Honduran winger scored his first Champions League goal to give Anderlecht the lead in Brussels.
