Pike County Girls’ Tournament History

*Remember that girls seasons are just one year since they start and end in the same year unlike boys which starts late in the year and goes into the new year.

In the last 10 years, Dorton has 5 county championships and 4 runner-ups. In the 5 years since Valley opened, they have won 3 titles and 2 runner-ups. Pretty impressive. It's no wonder Shelby Valley has dominated girls' basketball in this area for the last several years.

Success in junior high has definitely translated to success in high school. Going back to 2012, Shelby Valley has won 6 straight district titles, and won the 15th region 3 times during that span. SV is a strong contender to win both titles again this year (not to mention the major role filled by ex-Dorton players on this year's excellent Pikeville team).
