I seem to recall Bobby Keith saying that the 85 Cumberland team was the best team he ever coached against and considered beating them a huge upset.

Yep. And Coach Keith was usually right.  Let's not forget, however , that his '85 Clay County team came within one bucket of winning the state championship. So, they were pretty damned good as well.  Cawood and the great Nick Sanford wasn't exactly chopped liver. The '85 and '86 Trojans teams went  45-11.
