The U.S. ranks last among industrialized countries relative to employee benefits like healthcare, paid leave, vacation days, unemployment and retirement, according to Zenefits.

The Czech Republic, Latvia, South Korea and Mexico joined the U.S. among the five least-generous countries. Denmark, the Netherlands, Finland, Sweden and Switzerland were the top nations for worker benefits.

There is no excuse for the U.S. to be ranked last.
There is no excuse for American corporations to be ranked first in combined state and federal tax rates but that is what China Joe is proposing, Mr. I am Not a Socialist but...

Cuba and Venezuela once had thriving economies. How has socialism worked out for them? This country is broke and our inflation rate has begun to soar. Even the Biden administration is now acknowledging that interest rates will need to be raised to keep inflation in check. Inflation and interest rates composed two thirds of the Carter misery index. As the rate of inflation and interest rates rise, the unemployment rate will follow. That is the trifecta that Jimmy Carter unleashed on this nation. (Nixon, Ford, and LBJ did their part in crippling our economy, but Carter came to own the misery index, which disappeared during the Reagan administration.
Big Grin That May be some of the most dishonest revisionist history ever put Fourth. I bet you think the native Americans sold their land fair and square.

We have meddled in both of those countries economies hoping to force them to heel.

there you go with those weak fallacies too. You chose two countries that have been economically depressed by the USA and ignored every other rich country that is more socialist than the US but also more focused on citizens welfare.

Come on Hooter you love socialism when it benefits you. You just hate poor Americans.  Not a peep with big fat bloated defense contracts and overpaid contractors, but let a morsel of food go to an undeserving child and your hair catches on fire.

for the record, if debt and deficit bothered you the 2017 tax bill would have been a no, but I’m certain you doglapped it up. Hypocrisy at its finest.
Is there any subject on which you are not profoundly ignorant, Twin Ticks? If so, then why not start a thread on a topic that you half way understand? Venezuela and Cuba both had thriving economies before communists seized power and began to nationalize private businesses and redistribute the wealth of those who earned it. Should the U.S. government supported those actions and ignored the fact that Castro and Chávez stole the property of American businesses?

You are showing your true colors (again) by blaming your own country for the failure of two communist countries. You are placing yourself squarely in the corner of those who believe communism is a good system that has just not been properly implemented yet. The people of Cuba and Venezuela are being victimized but their oppressors are not Americans. Foolish does not begin to characterize the warped logic that you try to sell here.
Maybe they would have been successful if the United States hadn’t of intervened.

Let’s be honest...there is zero success when the US is against you.

Either way your weak fallacy still exists.
There are countries across the world support their citizens and not corporations and are still very wealthy.

The weakness of your arguments these days is mind blowing.  Hooter, you can’t focus one issue.  What do you have against Americans?  They don’t deserve safe water? Better infrastructure? Better education?
Are you worried this will take away from your racket ? Socialism can food on your table but not other Americans?
I have nothing against my fellow Americans, Twin Ticks, but I do hate socialists, communists, and others who seek to take what is rightfully mine and to deprive me of the personal and economic liberty for which generations of Americans before me fought and died.

You have a very poor understanding of American history and an even more profound ignorance of basic economics. This country is broke and it is on the road to hyperinflation and all of the misery that comes with it. The time is fast approaching when our federal government will actually have to begin cutting existing programs. It is idiotic to be creating new welfare programs that common sense tells us (those who have common sense) cannot be funded in the future.
